Loads of fun! Thanks guys

I LOVED the Infra and Black Mesa assets used. It gave off a vibe that I have never seen before in a portal map. I hope to see more of this in the future!

Beautiful Hammerizations which, crucially, do not distract from or obscure the puzzle. Thumbs up!

Who else loves those fun little hallway sections in between levels
Fuku Yamama 4 Sep, 2024 @ 8:45pm
Beautiful!
zigzagtenniscoe 16 Jun, 2024 @ 4:57pm
That's fair, I can only imagine how much of an undertaking even one Hammer map of this scale is. I can really tell how much you and various others put into this map, it's incredible visually like many Hammer maps these days and I massively enjoyed it.

It's neat to know some of your other maps are more explorable though, I'll check them out sometime! There's still so much content I'm working through by other mapmakers, and I tend to be pretty methodical about it (in other words, once I have my sights set on playing all the maps from someone's workshop "A", I'll take it upon myself to complete it all, even if sometime in the middle I discover someone else "B" who also has good, or even better, stuff).
zigzagtenniscoe 16 Jun, 2024 @ 4:57pm
It doesn't help that I'm the kind of person who, to a semi-reasonable extent, tries to consume tamer-quality content as a whole, before getting to the real good stuff. Of course, I know I only have so much time and that there's generally far more 7/10 stuff than 9 or 10/10 stuff. That's where the "semi-reasonable" part comes in, so I try to limit my consumption of the former to more popular content but I understand some people find the idea silly as a whole. With Portal specifically though I've happened upon many bangers early so, it gets a bit more complicated. My list of authors isn't too too long though, so, hopefully, I'll get around to your work sooner rather than later :)

I was planning initially on making an expansive set of extra areas to explore, but once I finished what is now the current map I was exhausted, I had created two whole puzzles with large background areas, and I came to the conclusion that I just don't feel like it.

I would've loved to make that area but due to brush budget and me being tired of working on tihs map it'll remain without much in terms of extra areas. Maybe sometime for P2:CE I'll make a version of this map with proper explorable areas.

Regardless I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the map!
zigzagtenniscoe 14 Jun, 2024 @ 7:21pm
Something I forgot to mention in my first comment below: I think there may have been some missed opportunity for extra areas to explore/easter eggs, I did try to jump onto the catwalk below the puzzle but above the sewer but it just killed me lol.

Not being able to explore further out into the map though is a pretty common thing though. I wish it weren't so, but it does mean the lack of the ability to do such in this map as well isn't something I'd dock points for.

Began recording a blindrun before realizing this was just one of Demon Arisen's old maps. Then I crawled through the next BTS portion only to find another puzzle, and almost regretted my decision before realizing it was another one of his classics.

Really like how updated the design is though -- both maps had their flaws and I think you've brought out the best in both of these chambers. They're both quite easy to begin with but you've placed them in a very compelling environment with absolutely stunning Hammer work. I really took my time and took the visuals in, stopping to smell the... wait, that smell's DEFINITELY not flowers and definitely not worth stopping for 😂

I love maps like these that offer styles not really seen in the main campaign, and that are done extraordinarily well. Massive thumbs up.

(I will say with Pressure that I've always felt the puzzle wasn't complex enough to warrant two cubes, but I appreciate your loyalty to the original designs nevertheless.)

Beautiful work. Very immersive, thanks for creating this.
Igrium 30 May, 2024 @ 8:14pm
Holy shit! This has to be one of the best-looking maps I've seen! It really felt like something out of Black Mesa; I found myself pressing F trying to turn on a flashlight and wanting to climb ladders.
Lassi  [author] 24 May, 2024 @ 2:35pm
Hey thanks for the kind words!

Yeah whenever and whatever I make next will be in another style, seeing as I am getting kind of tired of doing this style by now. I will do my best not to be a one-trick pony
evelyncarnate 24 May, 2024 @ 10:11am
good work! i like that you've included 2 puzzles, it feels like a good, satisfying chunk of gameplay. detailing and everything is well-done as always - that said, i'd love to see you experiment with another type of environment in future. you've proved how well you can do this divide-esque moody industrial setting (i know it's moved on a lot from divide by now of course), but i bet you've got more to show yet! in any case, this map is very nicely done.
Carthage 20 May, 2024 @ 11:45am
Gorgeous map! Beautifully detailed bts sections, amazing atmosphere, and some fun puzzles.
ArizonaRunner 18 May, 2024 @ 2:04pm
Very nice map puzzle. Spoiler text: I only put the blue gel on the exit portal. Had blue gel shoot straight up and then turned off portal by redirecting to another panel. Gel then comes down and lands on floor. Then used orange gel to run fast through entrance portal and exiting hitting blue gel to bounce up.
IHaveNoIdeaDanny 18 May, 2024 @ 12:11pm
i get an error trying to play this map
1-800-NOW'S-YOUR-CHANCE 15 May, 2024 @ 6:32pm
fairly easy puzzles, a great atmosphere, AND bts areas? this is going in my favourites, no questions asked.
E L Y T R O N 13 May, 2024 @ 10:05pm
Great stuff! Love the infra vibes. I solved the first puzzle so fast i thought this map was focused on visuals...I almost missed the portal surface between the end of 1 and start of 2. Great stuff! I wish my maps were good enough to be hammerized like this! some day...

I absolutely adored this map, the puzzles were some stuff which i've never had to do in any other map! and the maps themselves are a work of art!
Lassi  [author] 13 May, 2024 @ 11:40am
You are in fact not supposed to cheat to win.
PhoenixScientist 12 May, 2024 @ 9:19pm
So you're supposed to cheat to win? not very "Portal"
Portal2Player 12 May, 2024 @ 2:53pm
Both of the puzzles were quite good. I liked the final move in the first chamber, and the fact that you have to coat the orange gel runway with blue gel isn't really something that you'd think to do.
Roxmillian 12 May, 2024 @ 5:06am
Fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing this.
Rx 12 May, 2024 @ 4:57am
Great chambers, 2nd one took some thinking!
rnemec 11 May, 2024 @ 3:18pm
Thank you. I totally missed the video, but now I see it.
Lassi  [author] 11 May, 2024 @ 9:57am
Odd you should ask, cheating by jumping on walls should be fixed already

This page has a gameplay video though if you wish to see the solutions
rnemec 10 May, 2024 @ 7:51pm
Is there a way to solve this map normally without "cheating" by jumping on top of walls? Does anyone have a walkthrough of that?
caltexpa 10 May, 2024 @ 4:30pm
Great map! Loved it!!

Lassi  [author] 8 May, 2024 @ 9:31am
aw, and I *just* updated the map too!

ah, I'll get those fixed tomorrow or the day after
Zybit 8 May, 2024 @ 9:19am
It's also possible to get stuck by going through the test chamber entrance doors and then quickly returning as they start to close
Zybit 8 May, 2024 @ 9:12am
On the gel puzzle you can get out of bounds by placing a portal under the blue gel dispenser then the other on the angled ramp; then activating the dispenser and using the gel in the corner to jump over the wall.
Lassi  [author] 7 May, 2024 @ 11:41pm
Oh interesting

Yeah I’ll look into fixing that
Castroy 7 May, 2024 @ 7:42pm
I think you have an exploit in the first puzzle, where you can jump on the cubes with the light ramp to completely clear the wall and skip the first chamber. I doubt that was the intended solution.
Crimson Phoenix 7 May, 2024 @ 4:22pm
This is a great chamber. I liked the principals that it showed off and the scenery was chefs kiss. This one deserves a 10/10.
Buggy 7 May, 2024 @ 1:45pm
The BTS section was so good goddam
