Description
This is a port and an ongoing rework of the Dominions 5 modpack, MA Len’en 連縁Project ~輝く神聖な玉座~ Shining Sacred Throne.

This modpack features 6 nations in the middle age based on the Len'en Project, a shoot 'em up game series made by Trick Nostalgie.

NEWS:

-5/13/2024: Version 2.0 released in the Steam Workshop. Many updated sprites for the nations of Senri Shrine, Devanagara, and Dragonfly Castle. Quick changes were made to Fumikadoland, Azumaterasu, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (I actually can't say that word, I'll just use Sh*todo instead) so they could be ready for the new Dominions 6 features (they will be updated and reworked in the future.)

Changes include:

-SENRI:
- Monochrome Cavalry are recruitable cap only sacreds now instead of as summons
- Regime Exterminators, Regime Samurai, and Regime Samurai Archers have been added as recruitable units
- Glaive Enforcers and Enforcer Cavalry have been added as recruitable units
- Altered hoppers and Altered Masters have been removed. They have been replaced with combat spells that
summon different types of horrors.

-DEVANAGARA:
- Lancers, Penguin Doppelsoldners, and Penguin Marines have been added as recruitable units.
- New summonable units have been added: Death's Butchers, Longwatch Fusliliers, Silver Jaegers,
Blackmane Braves, and Vermillion Musketeers.
- Penguin Pikeneers are no longer armed with crossbows
- Blizzardbuss Penguineers have been removed (Replaced with Penguin Marines)

Dragonfly Castle:
- Pseudosnail Giants and Frog Battlemasters have been added as recruitable sacred units
- Giant Frogs now have the poison spit attack.
- Slug Retainers have the extra lives mechanic from MA Nidavangr
- Shadow Knights have been removed

Nation Special Features:

SENRI:
- Has access to many nation exclusive combat summons, many of which are either horrors or sacred ink type
units.
- Able to create special magic sites that allow for the recruitment of new sacred troops and commanders.
- Some troops and commanders have the ability to teleport across the map.


DEVANAGARA:
- A ranged combat focused nation armed with gunpowder based weapons such as muskets and cannons.
-Other special ranged weaponry exist such as poisoned bows, mortars that release poison gas, flamethrower
type troops, grenades, and more.
- Special "penguin" auxiliary units meant for melee engagements.
- A special improvable defensive unit meant to represent a trench line
- Summonable regiments that fill a specific role.

DRAGONFLY CASTLE:
- Race specific units that excel at one thing, but lack a skill that the other race has.
- These units also have a weaker secondary form that they retreat to so they could survive the first killing
blow.

FUMIKADOLAND:
- Focuses on massing troops and causing lots of unrest.
- Wide variety of command summoned troops.

AZUMATERASU:
- A strange blend of mindless constructs, undead warriors, and human soldiers.
- Many combat spells used for giving defensive auras to many units.

SH*TODO:
- Most starting troops are poorly equipped, but some infantry have magical weapons.
- Strong cavalry summons with great variety.
- Special sites could be built to access better troops.
- Could perform unique diplomacy actions with special summonable commanders (event based interactions
meant for multiplayer games).

Future Updates:

- Fumikadoland, Azumaterasu, and Sh*todo, must still be reworked, and their sprites updated.
- A new nation is being considered.
- Additional sprites for Devanagara and Dragonfly Castle must be updated.

It was intended that the Monoclone Tyrant would be a more combat oriented unit, but there are some ways to strengthen its usefulness that I could add that matches its flavor. I think making it immortal would be too much, but I'm thinking about giving it some regeneration, reinvigoration, and also giving it back its two misc slots. A small boost in stats might also be added. I'll have to think about it more. Adding invulnerability stats would make up for its lack of an armor slot so I'll probably add that too.

As for any monoclone-like expansions, I don't have any in mind right now as my current modding focus is on the Touhou mod pack.

I'm a little worried that I was too negative on my last comment, so I want to say this: Monochrome Tyrant is a cool flavor thing, and it having several weapons slots is a unique, interesting idea. With that said, I question the usefulness of it. It makes the High Priest more durable and better in melee, but, in my opinion, at the cost of her usefulness as a mage, due to her losing her miscellaneous, armor, and feet slots.
I question the usefulness of the Tyrant due to it being a bit difficult to acquire, needing five water and three death to cast, alongside fifteen gems. To be frank, the gem cost is cheap, so long as you get lucky (17% chance I think) and get a High Priest with four levels in water. In that case, you can give them a water magic boosting item to bring them to five. Outside of that, I think that it is expensive, and questionable to use.

So...let me start off by saying that I am bad at playing Dominions. My last victory was in Dominions 4 around a decade ago...by accident. I am far from an expert in what a good unit is.

This is the long way of me saying that I feel miffed by turning my Monochrome High Priest into a Monochrome Tyrant as, to me, it feels like a nerf, as, at a glance, I turned my mage into an okayish (?) thug, lost her miscellaneous, armor, and feet slots, and now have to pay her more in upkeep.

My thought is maybe to turn the unit into a form of lichcraft for Senri, by giving it immortality, or maybe dominion immortality? Or would that make it too strong, as the High Priest is already a very good unit, if limited in quantity and expensive?

As a side note, would you ever think of expanding upon the Monochrome Tyrant idea by making a lightweight version of the spell for the regular priests, and maybe an even higher version of the spell?

the informant summon dies instantly upon entering combat due to buggy illusion tag, i think a dominions update changed something

#copy spell errors for the Iron body spell and forgot to change the magic path from 7 to 8 for the Devil's Advocate spell (Dominions 5 had magic path 7 as blood magic, in Dom 6 this was changed to glamour). Should be fixed now

Crapodo's Purchase Devil's Advocate is inappropriately tagged as a Glamour spell despite being under the Blood research path.

Fumikadoland's Iron-Body Legend spell seems to have bizarre effects in-game.

Also, if anyone has ever played any multiplayer games with any version of this mod (as in versions from Dominions 5), I encourage you to share your stories here. I've always been curious as to how these nations would be used on multiplayer games since I've always tested them as and against AI.
