More Armory! Midworld Arms Pack

Description
Hey.
You like guns to commit unspeakable atrocities in the name of freedom and liberty?
Or perhaps a shiny new set of armor that may reduce the chances of getting instantaneously deleted by a 2 Shooting raider with a autopistol?
And once you defeat a raid, do you want your benevolent peacekeepers to ensure that your defeated and captured enemies are in good hands and treated humanely (by tons of beatings)?

The More Armory! series aims to add variety of vanilla-styled weapons and armor to the game.
Midworld Arms Pack adds an assortment of modern-era weapons and armor sets.

A total of 14 new ranged weapons, 4 melee weapons, 5 armor pieces, and 3 research projects are added with this mod. These items fall under the Industrial tier and are unlocked through research for production. Items can also spawn on other pawns, sold by traders and rewarded through quests.

Being between the Industrial tier and the Spacer tier, these weapons and armor are comparably more powerful than the vanilla Industrial equipment. However, all of these items have drawbacks to put them into more specific roles such as attacking, defending, or both. They are also slightly more expansive to produce by crafting and by trade.

FAQ

Q: Combat Extended?
A: As I personally don't use CE, I am unable to provide any CE support for the mod. You are welcome to make and/or upload your own CE patch (see end of description for permission info).

Q: Compatible with x mod?
A: This mod is built using the base game's code for equipment. Mod incompatibility should be minimal at best but in case of an incompatible mod, you may report it for others to know or make a compatibility patch (see end of description for permission info).

Q: Do you take suggestions and requests?
A: I will consider suggestions and requests if I feel that it is suitable for the mod and doable within my capabilities (factoring real life events as well). Please note that just because I responded to a suggestion/request, doesn't mean it's guaranteed to be added.

As always, feedback, reports, and suggestions are welcome. Please post them in the comments or make a discussion thread.

True.

I released another helmet crafting pass to make it consistent with the vanilla flak helmet recipe (added 10 plasteel cost for all helmets) and swapped the synthread requirement for cloth and increased cloth cost to 5.

I'll update the graphic to reflect these changes later.

I think cloth would be friendlier, synth thread is a bitch and a half to get, but having it be mostly plasteel would still make it balanced imo

I released an update to 1.6 and reduced the synthread requirement of all helmets to 3 synthread. Oops on me for being so reliant on recycling mods that I legitimately forgot how rare synthread is in vanilla.

If this is still not optimal, I might opt further reduce the cost or replace the synthread requirement to cloth.

Can we remove the synthread requirement?

@Russian bongocat I have not tested this mod with any combat overhauls as this mod is made with vanilla in mind. Going by the (reuploaded) mod page description, there shouldn't be any compatibility issues.

does it work with yayos combat 3?

@Macaron Yes. You'll get a one-time error popup when you load a save that had the mod before disabling. You can safely ignore the error and carry on.

is it safe to disable mid save?
