The Gold Zodiac (黄道十二宮, Kōdō Jyūnikyū; Literally meaning "Zodiac Signs") is the deepest part of the Sanctuary, consisting of twelve temples representing each of the twelve Zodiacs. Inside each of the temples, a gold saint (and, in Episode G and The Lost Canvas, their servants) resides. They align themselves over high peaks, ridges and slopes of the mountains, from the first sign to the last; namely, the temples of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. However, through wars and the passage of time, many Temples have fallen into decay, despite repairs. All the Temples are connected by a single flight of steps, making it virtually impossible to get to Athena's chambers without the permission of each gold saint and the pope. The path is also blessed by Athena’s cosmo, serving as holy barriers preventing lesser evils, as well as any sort teleportation between two temples.

  • Unlocks at Military Training.
  • Must be built on a mountain (no volcano).
  • Unlocks the city's ability to purchase the Knight of the Zodiac unit with faith.

    Knight of the Zodiac
  • Melee unit with a unique promotion tree.
  • Gain +3 combat strength per Holy Site district in your empire.
  • Promotion Tree
    • Bronze Knight: +1 movement, +5 Combat Strength, No combat penalty when damaged.
    • Silver Knight: +1 movement, +5 Combat Strength, Can move after attacking.
    • Golden Knight: +1 movement, +5 Combat Strength, Unit heal up to 50 hit points after killing an enemy unit.

@BigGamer9211 Check if you have the updated mod, because the system I put in place would only have problems if it was a mod district whose loading was later than that of the 12 houses

@BigGamer9211 I play on King difficulty. @B.Carmine I have one of the Israel mods David/Esther/Solomon as leader. It changes Holy Sites to Holy Lands, and it will buff the Knights as Holy Sites. Maybe it's only a Russia problem?

Getting strength for each holy site makes the knight too powerful. I'm getting 200 strength capturing cities regardless of walls late game. One knight captures non-walled cities on first attack. Two knights capture walled cities when both attack. Even when I first got the unit I had several holy sites enemies had no defense. Maybe give them cavalry strength, no bonus from holy sites, and they can upgrade to helicopters. (Thinking Apocalypse Now helicopter scene of Ride of the Valkyries.)

Can you make it compatible with modded civs and districts that replace the holy site?

There is another bug, unique Holy Sites, such as the Lavra (or custom civ's replacements) do not count towards Cosmo for this wonder so for civs like Russia they cannot buff the unit.

Other civs have access to the special unit without building the wonder, and in the ancient era.
