Nekoputer's Modpack

Description
Nekoputer's Modpack

This mod includes a handful of changes, such as but not limited to:
  • Higher Tier & Insanity Starting Conditions
  • "Forever Storms" (Rages every 6 out of 7 days)
  • x25 Mining Yield via "Nekoputer: High Yields" difficulty
  • Enabled Catalytic "Infinite" Filter Crafting in Tier 2 Pipe Bender
  • Enabled RTG (600W) Crafting in Tier 2 Electronics Printer (Note: Disassembling and re-assembling turns it into Creative RTG for some reason)
  • Higher Item Stack Counts
  • Ganymede & Loulan Worlds (Originally made by "A Terrible Modder")
  • Owuh Star System

The modpack is primarily for players who do not like mining much and prefer to focus on base building. Yes, the starting resources may be a bit too much and overpowered, but atleast it saves time from mining all the time.

Higher Mining Yields - "Nekoputer: High Yields"
The older method of increasing mining yields will now be deprecated in favor of changing the mining yield via the difficulty selection. When creating new worlds, instead of choosing creative, easy, etc, you can now choose the High Yields difficulty for a x25 yield boost. This should be compatible with all vanilla and custom worlds. This is based on the easy difficulty for now.

If you wish to alter your save to use the new difficulty, please edit the "world.xml" file in your save directory and change the "DifficultySetting" id to "Nekoputer: High Yields". Recommend you replace the spaces with " ", or start a new world.

Starting Conditions

Storm entries have been added to the world selection menu for you to try out. Solar, wind & RTG starts have been added to the starting conditions menu for all default and custom/modded worlds. Robot race now starts with head lamps for standard and all full starts. Brutal start conditions are not included for the sake of keeping it brutal.

Materials & Kits provided are the following:
  • Standard Residential Supplies with x10 locker kits instead of x2 & x5 crate mount kits.
  • Standard Portable Generator Package with x2 the content
  • 500 g - 1 Kg of base ingots
  • 500 g of standard alloys
  • 250 g of super alloys
  • Steel-based construction crates
  • Electrical Crates with large battery kits, lots of cables and 10 reinforced solar panels
  • Standard advanced airlock crate
  • Standard survival supplies crate
  • Standard hydroponics supplies with slightly increased quantity of items
  • Standard atmospherics supplies crate with 4 extra atmospherics kit and full stacks of items
  • x4 Wireless Large Battery Cells, x3 Wireless Cells, x2 Nuclear Cells & Omni Power Transmitter

You may choose which difficulty you like between solar, wind energy & RTGs. There's also now a new much more brutal start condition for those who like speedrunning with very limited supplies. Can you survive it?

Item Stacks
The following items has their stacks increased! If you wish for other items or believe some items are missing, please comment down below!
  • x500 ores
  • x250 cables, pipe insulation & pipes
  • x100 frames & wall kits
  • x200 sheets
  • x50 Chutes
  • x20 Hydroponic Trays, pipe utilities
  • x10 power controllers, power connectors, vents, atmospherics, crate mounts, battery kits, RTGs, solar panels & wind turbines

Owuh Star System
Owuh (according to lore) is an O-Type star with a high amount of solar output. The system is quite small with only 4 planets. It is still being explored to this day, but very slowly. The following planets have been discovered though!

Uzetis
This ice-like water world lands you on an island that's surrounded by "Blue-Like lava". The only ores available to mine is on the island you land on. The lava is bright and the planet orbits around Janus. It mostly consists of a Nitrogen atmosphere with some Water & Carbon Dioxide. You can use electrolyzers to get volatiles and oxygen from the water. The temperature differs between -10 - 13C depending on the time of day. Please note, this world is my first attempt at making my own world. Please provide any feedback on it via the comments. I'm unsure if the brightness of the lava can be turned down either sadly. A hot & steamy version of the world has also been added due to a request.

Ayama
Ayama is a unique gas giant that has an asteroid ring. You'll be building a base within the ring as there's a unique anomaly within it. Sometimes the area produces a blue-like fog (depending on Owuh's position) and more puzzling, there is atmosphere. Although low pressure, it consists primarily of Oxygen and Nitrogen. Luckily, there's plenty of asteroids to mine resources from and they're rich in resources.

Kuzuno
Kuzuno, is a high gravity and tidally-locked world. Meaning, one side of the world faces the sun, while the other remains dark for all eternity. It is primarily a Nitrogen atmosphere with a hint of volatiles and oxygen. This world was formerly known as "Flat Lands", originally made by Sunrazor1. You will arrive equipped with hardsuits and x2 spares. The gravity is very dangerous that robotic players would survive better when mining for ores.

Terra
Terra, which is another name for Earth, is a simple earth-like world suited for beginners. It features a breathable atmosphere, but temperatures do dip below 0C so you'll still need to keep your base warm. Lots of resources available and some "grass" but... No trees sadly. Also... this planet... spins backwards! It also has a moon called Luna, discovered by astronomist, Kevin!

Additional Notes
This is considered to be a modpack as it is a collection of changes to different aspects of gameplay than just one. Also, these changes were inspired by other mod makers on the workshop. Credit goes to all of them.

It is recommended to load the mod below "Core" after subscribing. A restart may be required if changes to the load order have been made.

Hey @Alyssix, I can check that once I have access to PC again. Currently in heatwave atm and no air con. Have to wait for everything to cool off enough before I can check

got an error on your maps
[ERROR} material 'starfield skybox' with shader 'skybox/6 sided' doesn't have a float or range property '_atmospherethickness'

@Nekoputer
That's a great idea! Sure, there are other mods that do it, but why download more mods when everything could be in one place? This way I can just configure the game the way I want it.
DefunctAcc  [author] 21 Apr @ 10:56am
@Maca Neasi, No worries~! The devs changed how mod order loading works a while ago now so all mods have to be below core now~ XD
Hope ya enjoy it~! I'm considering about adding a couple more difficulties so each difficulty can have different mining yields.

Wut ye think? Technically a mod already exists that does this ofcourse.

@Nekoputer
Sorry about that — it turned out that just changing the load order of the mods fixed everything. Thanks a lot for your great work!

@Maca Neasi, I'm not sure wut I could add to it atm. Plus there's the terrain update in the works right now and once that update drops, a lot of world mods (including mine) will break.

Hi, will there be an update for this mod?
DefunctAcc  [author] 20 Mar @ 12:10pm
Thanks should go to a community member for pointing me to the changelog ;)
I never noticed the change in mod-load behavior~ XD

@Darth Batman, The devs have changed how modload order works now. All mods gotta be below "Core" now to work. That should fix your issues ;)
