Stuffable Security Door

Description
Stuffable Security Door

This ultra light weight mod makes your security doors stuffable!

Yup that's really all it does. Amazing technology right?

But wait, are you using ReBuild?

Awesome! A patch for the large security door versions is included in this mod and balanced accordingly! You can also enjoy a fully stuffable version of the security door when you use ReBuild thanks to their in house code that enables that feature!

FAQ

Is it safe to add / remove during a game?
It is save to add and remove but note that previously built security doors will not become stuffed automatically when installed. You'll need to replace them. Also be aware that upon removal that old 'stuffed' security doors revert back to 'vanilla' security doors and will retain their old 'stuffed' hitpoints and can be safely repaired up to the vanilla security door HP. Also note that coloring from when they were stuffed will remain but aside from these two small issues they should work just fine like any other vanilla security door upon removal.

How much does the security door now cost?
Half of the plasteel cost has been replaced with 'stuffable' material, you can use metalic or stony materials for it. The regular security door costs the exact same if you use plasteel as the stuffable material and has practically the same statistics as vanilla. No OP mods here!

Why does the non-rebuild version security door still need plasteel if it is stuffable?
Because the outer door is made out of plasteel! I decided to paint it in plasteel and make you still use plasteel in its construction for this version as the outer door cannot be colored in the stuffable material you use for its construction. This was a hardcoded limitation of the vanilla door. However if you like the look of the security door, you can now get away with using only half the amount of plasteel while still having a slick double security door made in a plethora of materials!

I installed your mod but now pieces of my security door are white! Help! You've destroyed my game!
Already built security doors will be considered non-stuffed by the game and will need to be rebuilt for the proper graphics to show up.

I want the non-rebuild version to look fully stuffable!
Me too Timmy, me too!

I want the rebuild version to look like the non-rebuild version with the cool plasteel plates on the outer doors!
You really think those look better? I'll consider adding an option to toggle it if enough demand exists.

How much time did it take to make this mod?
Way too much time, I don't know how Ferny keeps popping out his mod packs, he must not be playing the game or he's secretly using his time machine to play in the future and backport his mods to the present the cheeky rascal.

Wait, I have more questions!

I want to say that I do use Rebuild but prefer the non-Rebuild appearance.

1.6 update coming?

@Andreas

There is no reason it wouldn't. The only problem it has right now is that it doesn't have a 1.6 tag.

I'll update my mods to 1.6 once it is officially released.

Will this work in 1.6?

Huh? Did something change? I haven't played in a while, iirc the plasteel plates should only appear on non-rebuild versions. You should have fully stuffed security doors with rebuild version even for the larger 3x1 versions. Did something change with the rebuild version?

could you please add the plasteel plates on the large rebuild doors, or maybe remove them from the original ones? like as a config option

...out of curiosity, would you be willing to make a mod for Stuffable Holding Platforms? Because apparently that's not a thing, yet, at least according to a quick Workshop search.

im so confused on what stuffable is looking for a mod that add extremely strong doors

I know, I know.

I was talking about modders who make something stuffable, and the item made out of wood hast the exact same stats than the same item made out of stone, steel, or plasteel. So they basically don't balance it at all sometimes. And for me that doesn't work, because it is too immersion breaking...

> Because some modders give stuffable objects just the same stats.

I assume you mean that they balance the end result of something being stuffable as the same as the vanilla stats would have been? That's at least what my goal was. It doesn't make the door any stronger than it is in vanilla gameplay.

The stuffable plasteel version of the security door in this mod is only ~5% stronger than the vanilla version that isn't stuffable for example. It costs the same amount of resources. The only thing you can really do is make a cheaper alternative that is better than a regular door but weaker than the vanilla security door such as a wooden security door if you're lacking plasteel or just want to use the door for its cool aesthetics.
