For years the turtle rock survivors have stood at the sidelines. They watched as their vanilla counterparts with the higher-resolution textures and lack of tactical gear took their credit. All promotional material, any mention of who the turtle rock survivors were was swept under the rug.

The vanilla survivors were the true Left 4 Dead survivors.

Many attempted to bring them back to their former glory. They built communities, mods, fixes and anything to get the turtle rock survivors back on their feet. But it was no use. They stood in the shadow of the vanilla survivors and they knew it.
But, with all this effort put into getting them into the spotlight, something changed in their minds. They no longer felt like the discarded memory of Valve Software. They were survivors, survivors for a game that is now lost but is being brought back. All this got to their head. They became angry that these lesser survivors could take their place; to leave them in the dust. It couldn't be left like this. They had to show them who were the true survivors. Who were the real main characters of the game.

And so they chose to fight back.
They became one.
They became a monster.

And as they got to tear the vanilla survivors apart, to crush their skulls and tear them limb from limb, just remember:
