Welcome aboard the USG Horizon, enjoy your stay

Behold, the first exclusive Dead Space themed map made for Roleplaying!

I am very proud to present to all of you, the gmod community, my magnum opus, months of hard work that included modelling, texturing and of course making the map!

In this map you will find first ever exclusive, custom-made dead space models including, all the iconic dead space doors, hologram style props, panels and even a custom made TRAM model!

A 1.3km long spaceship
The map is a spaceship designed like the USG Ishimura found in Dead Space 1.
It is made up of 6 distinct sectors and a tram system that you can use to travel to each sector. YOU tell the tram where to go through an exclusive made interface! But you can also WALK through the entire spaceship!
The sector is separated in 6 sectors in this order:
  • Bridge
  • Crew quarters
  • Medical
  • Terminal
  • Engineering
  • Hydroponics
You will also found scattered around the map the iconic dead space ventilations, animated with sound and rotating blades!
You can put the train in maintenance mode in the tram maintenance room! Activate the panel in the room and make the tram travel in front of the door
Furthermore, you will find electrical panels that you can interact with to shut down certain lights.
There are custom soundscapes compiled in the map, thanks to the help of Dopey !
Disclaimer: The labels are written in French because I have made this map for my server, and it is french! Do not ask for an english version of all the models, this is an herculean task (nearly 300 textures!) I do not wish to do.

You are FREE to use ANY of my content found in this addon.
You are FREE to re-use any of my models I have made for this map.
You are FREE to use the Lua scripts I have written for this map (which controls doors and interfaces).
On the sole condition that you cite my name in your work and don't claim the models or code as your own!

How do I lock tram stations?
A tram station is considered under lockdown if the two blastdoors of said tram station are closed. I recommend using the Extended properties addon to manually close/open said doors.

How do I lock doors with holograms?
There is no current way to do this, however the locking mechanism exists in the code for curious developers.
You need to change the NWBool "Locked" value of the prop_dynamic door. i.e: ent:SetNWBool("Locked", true)

ah yea that's true, the kind of "test chamber" place uses assets from Blue Shift because they were really cool :)

oh wait really? Playable piano fucks with my map?
Sounds like it's badly coded!! Probably doing a default "return false" which fucks everything up

If you have the addon 'Playable Piano revamped', it has a PlayerUse hook that overrides the doors. You can do " lua_run PrintTable(hook.GetTable()["PlayerUse"]) " in console and search the PlayerUse hooks to find what all has them.

Hopefully someone makes a polished Navmesh and AI nodes for this, it'd be nice to finally have a thematically appropriate map to fight the exceptional Necromorph SNPCs that've been on the workshop a while.

God, this map is awesome but I still can't find whatever addon is making the doors bugged, it's annoying the hell out of me lmao.

daim its funny because my fucking point is that i can't disable interacting with them for a door controll system xD
