Name That Beaver

Description
A mod that allows beaver names to be taken from a list of prepared names

===========================================================
Installation Steps:

1. Download the mod

2. Navigate to game install folder. Easiest is to right click on the game in steam->Properties->Installed Files-> click on Browse

3. Navigate two folders up (go back two folders)
and go to workshop->content->1062090->3278055435

4. Copy 'beavers.names' and 'NameThatBeaverSettings.json' to
C:\Users\<yourNameHere>\Documents\Timberborn\Mods\NameThatBeaver (if the folders 'Mods' and/or 'NameThatBeaver' do not exist, create them)

The file 'beavers.names' contains the list of names you want to be used for your newly born/brewed beavers (works only for beavers, and not bots).
Only one name per row is allowed (not necessarily one word though).
***NEW***
Since 1.4.1 it is possible to color the beaver. To do that add the six character HEX code of the color followed by '#' before the name of the beaver.

The file NameThatBeaverSettings.json contains (surprise, surprise) the settings for the mod, of which there are 4

1. NameListLocation - used to set the path to the file with the names of the beavers.

Possible values are:
- "" (default) - The mod will look for the 'beavers.names' file in the mod folder,
which is (C:\Users\<yourNameHere>\Documents\Timberborn\Mods\NameThatBeaver)

- A local path - The mod will look for the 'beavers.names' file at the provided location.
!!!NOTE!!!: if using a local path (different than the default), make sure to double up the backslashes '\' should become '\\'

- An internet address - if you provide a valid url to text file that's uploaded somewhere, and no authentication is required to download it, the mod will download the file and save it as 'beavers.names' in the mod folder

2. ReuseNames

Possible values are:
- true - when a beaver dies the name that was given to it will be put back in the pool and can be given to a newly born/brewed beaver
- false (default) - when a beaver dies the name dies with them and it cannot be reused

3. RedownloadListAfter

Possible values are:
- 0 (default) - The mod will not re-download the file
- integer number bigger than 0 - the mod will re-download the file after the number (set here) of seconds have elapsed.
!!!NOTE!!! - This will only work for when you set a valid url (to a txt file) in the 'NamesListLocation' option

4. RefreshNamePoolOnFileChange

Possible values are:
- false (default) - The mod will not listen for changes on the beavers.names file
- true - the mod will listen for changes on the beaver.names file and will refresh the name pool if changes are detected.
!!!NOTE!!!! - this option will be very useful if you have set up the names file to be downloaded from a remote location and also set up to be re-downloaded periodically. Also it can be useful if you have some other way of modifying the content of the beavers.names file while the game is running

I got the mod to work by putting it in "Documents\Timberborn\Mods\NameThatBeaver"

However it's not working under update 7:

Is this mod still working? I've followed the instructions, and no matter what I do it's not pulling the names from the beavers.names file.

Love this mod thank you very much for making it!
Remembering every beaver that passed away and doesnt show in the list anymore when new ones were born was always a toughie.

Wonder if there's any way to change the bots name generation scheme too?
Switching the "Timberbot" names to "Something Else 1" "Something Else 2" would be huge~~

Hello Yorg, do you plan on updating for U7 soon? I never had the duplicate names problem, and made heavy use of the colour changing part of the mod, so I can't wait to have it in game again.

Is there a way to make them use the name list in order and not repeat names during the same "generation"? For example, I had a Tibbers born but I also had an adult Tibbers living his best beaver life. Yet I have 169 other names on the list for it to pull from... why pull active names before the rest of the list has even been used?

The mod keeps reusing names before the previous beaver dies. Am i doing something wrong?
