Description

Stats and skills presented on the screenshots need update after rebalance on 27/01/2025.


This mod is adding skills to Dwarf Lords & Heroes in form of Ancestor Gods dedications. It's using vanilla Dwarf Runelord skills ("Invoke Runes of Grimnir, Grungni & Valaya) & expands them to remaining gods.

All lords & heroes are supported by this mod with all Runelords & Runesmiths receiving special version of the skills, with unique abilities available only to them.

Skills are balanced for vanilla. Check out detailed list of supported agents below.

Really nice addition to the skill trees. Would it be possible to get the Ancestor Gods items from the Chaos Dwarfs drill mechanic via the forge?

hello, this does not seem to be working with the Grandmaster Engineer, which I believe you've incorporated with the update? I've unsubbed and resubbed to all of your mods in an effort to get it to work

mod updated, please resub. the addon submod will be removed and integrated to this mod + support from my Expanded Skill Trees Overhaul, but it's not required.

this mod now adds the rune skills to many modded lords and heroes, i made a temporary discussion with all supported agent keys, but later i will remake it into actual info with names of the mods:

thank you for the good word, i appreciate the suggestions. i wont be adding the army skills to rune magic cooldown, as i played as balthasar gelt with his unique army spell gehenna globe that was using winds of magic and i hated it, i like also how the mod is balanced now with the amount of required skill points to reach the army skills. if someone is purely dedicated to spend all skills always on this feature it can be surely abused like many other features in the game to cheese level, or using extra skill points then its not balanced for vanilla :steamthumbsup: this army abilities are not spells, but the special reward like you get from thorek's mechanic (crafting) :TalismanDwarf: i hope you tested and enjoy though

Thanks for the mod! I have been looking for a mod that add the ancestral runes that was only accessible to Thorek, to my other dwarf campaigns. Finally I found it!

Question:
I have not tested the mod yet, but would using an ancestral runes army ability also put the rest of the normal rune magic on cooldown? It could be a neat way to balance it.
If there is some way to balance it, would it be fair to give runelord 2x of the ancestral runes whilst smith only have access to 1?
