Beaverpower

Description
There are no horses, only beavers. BP's the new HP.

Now supports all built-in languages!

Note: There's a known issue with Timberborn not always loading the correct translations when replacing text in-game. This should be resolved soon, but for the time being all languages will see the English versions for beaverpower.

It's modelled on a hamster wheel, I always assumed the 50 hp is 50 HAMSTER power...

Y'all obsessed with horses!

To those saying it's weird that 1 beaver on a wheel can make 50 beaver power, consider this:

In real life, the animal that can pretty easily and consistently generate about 1 horsepower? Is a human. Horses generate much more. One good workhorse can easily generate 7 horsepower without even trying, and can probably get up to 15 or more when really putting in effort.

Units are a mess. It's just a thing.

just to clarify, this mod doesn't change physics or the way the game refers to units, it purely renames the 'hp' part of any in-game reference to 'bp'.

that said, the game's units are mostly correct, with the exception of 'cms'.

In SI units:
hp = horsepower (power)
h = hour (time)
m = meter (distance)

thus, hph is power * time, which is a unit of energy like kilowatt hour (kWh) or milliamp hour (mAh).
hph / m is to say energy per meter, which is true as the energy you get from a battery does increase with the height of the battery itself.

cms is supposed to be cubic meter per second... this is a common non-SI unit that you'll see in North America, even if it's technically nonsense. it should be written as m^3/s but then the final unit would look something like hps/m^3 and no one knows what that is hahah.

hope this helps or is at least entertaining!

Love the humor, we need more realism tho. So may I suggest BPPH ? Or we can simply say "Batt".

someone, send this to rce!

mod displays bppm so power of one beaver that can be made in one minute.
they deliver 50, because they each deliver 60 per hour, but 10 is lost on friction and other inefficiencies.

If 1 beaver generates 50 hp, isn't it better to devide it by 50 so it becomes 1 bp?

These beavers are amazing, each has the power of 50 beavers :steammocking:

y'all don't make me moderate this thread 😂

But HP in the game obviously stands for HAMSTER POWER!
That's why the first power generator is a big wheel!
And obviously, a single Beaver has about the power of 50 hamsters.
Totally checks out for me.
