Denmark to the Eider

Description
"Denmark to the Eider" was the slogan of the national liberals in Denmark prior to the loss of Schleswig-Holstein.

This is a mod that seeks to expand the content and narrative surrounding the Schleswig-Holstein Question, particularly Denmark's aspirations for its Unitary State.

By 1836, the Danish royal line was on a course to extinction. When the last male in the line passed away, it would have fatal consequences for the Danish monarchy's personal union with the Duchies of Schleswig and Holstein.

Mod features:
  • Slightly reworked Journal Entry for the Schleswig-Holstein Question (more or less comparable to my other mod listed below)
  • German unification cannot proceed until the Schleswig-Holstein Question is resolved in some way
  • New Journal Entry for Denmark
  • New events for Denmark and German states who have an interest in the Schleswig-Holstein Question
  • New and changed AI weights to encourage it to be more aggressive in resolving the Schleswig-Holstein Question

Future plans:
  • Implementing a compromise solution for Schleswig-Holstein, which was also a contemporary goal for certain political groupings in Denmark (implemented for the formation of Scandinavia!)
  • Expansion into the greater Scandinavianist movement... (need to finish reading Union eller Undergang first)

Notes and future plans:
  • At some point, I plan to expand the scope of this mod for Scandinav(ian)ism. However, this is unlikely to happen as long as Paradox keeps Schleswig and Holstein together in one state in vanilla, and provides no way for modders to dynamically create "true" states or dynamically alter National unification targets (add/remove states/provinces).
  • Other modders are, for the time being, allowed to include and incorporate this mod into their own work. Credit and attribution are appreciated, but not required.

@nanikinglol I can't seem to reproduce the issue. Are you running any other mods? If so, there might be a mod conflict.

while my gameplay at denmark, when i start the game, it straight off unitary state crumbles. Is it normal or there's bug ?

New event chain for when Scandinavia is formed without annexing S-H has been implemented! It will force a resolution of the Question by compromise, war, or relinquishment.

Tying in the political movements and proposals described in Union eller Undergang with this mod is such a great idea. Giving Sweden the option to commit to a gamble wherein they could potentially gain Denmark as a personal union because Frederik 7. actually manages to block Christian 9. from ascending the throne could be great for roleplaying and immersion. The conflict could also become much more escalated and Denmark could end up falling further into the hands of the NGF as a puppet under a much emboldened and authoritarian Christian 9. seeking to tie in Denmark with the Zollverein and German Confederation but (maybe) keeping Schleswig-Holstein.
I will definitely be looking out for future updates!
