Description
About The Mod
Mod Designed By: Kill7X
Code, Sprites & Extras By: HSmasher

Latifundia, Limes, Legion is a Senator Class mod that primarily aims to enhance the class's economic abilities as well as address several of its shortcomings. It adds many new rituals and units; it was also created partially to be played alongside the Senator Enhanced mod and should have few if any conflicts with it.

Map Size: Medium/Enormous
Era: Empire
# of AI: 8-16 (teams of 1-3)
AI Difficulty: Knight
Wilder: Enabled
Multiplayer: Co-op (encouraged/optional) [Never Tested in Versus, YMMV]

I also recommend using my Romanized Empire Era mod that was made to play alongside this for more thematic games.

Tax Everything!
Governors, clerks, mine overseers, gold smiths, trade officials, tax collectors, legionary quartermasters - you name it! Squeeze the wealth from Elysium like the Senator has never dreamed of before. The primary aim of this mod was to address the fact that the Senator struggles to afford large armies his mostly overpriced units in sufficient numbers to deal with many of the other more powerful classes, particularly in the lategame.

Military Cults
Given the popular success of the Solar Cult and its Leos it is only natural that other lesser cults rise in its wake. 4 New military cults with their own special Centurions and Princeps have been added to the Class. The Acinonyx, Concolor, Onca & Tigris now lead their respective forces in subjugating Elysium. Each of the 4 fills various unique rolls in facing various opposing classes and situations. The Solar Cult itself has also received several buffs.

Cohors Reformatus
The Senator, upon becoming Emperor, can now raise legions of Reformed Professional Legionaries led by Tribunes, equipped with heavier armor and armaments than his standard units.

Clericus Senatorius & Alae Legionaries
The Senator can now appoint clerks to carry out his duties on his behalf. The Clericus Senatorius is essentially an inferior Magistratus whom the Senator has access to before becoming Emperor, and is capable of utilizing most of the same rituals as the Senator himself. No more need the Senator risk his own life on the frontlines!

Additionally the Senator now has access to Alae Legionaries, who can be spawned using rituals in towns and cities. Though less well armed and trained than the typical legions, the Alae can be quickly raised to bolster the ranks in times of need.

Centurion Rituals
Centurions, including the Leo and other cult based centurions, now have their own ritual schools, with a number of military related actions that can be taken. Build new outposts and construct watch towers, upgrade units and gain access to several new miscellaneous auxiliaries.

Sacred Legions
Though not blessed like the Voice of El's units, the Augurs can now sanctify the legions, giving them magical armaments and improved stats. No more will Inferno and Hades events effortlessly steamroll over the Senator's legions!

Mod Compatibility
The mod should be compatible with pretty much any other mod, it does not add any new terrains or modify existing ones, and only mildly alters several existing rituals. It was made specifically to be as compatible as feasible with the Senator Enhanced mod.

If there is a compatibility issue it is probably related to conflicting numbers being used, if that is the case simply find the conflicting numbers and alter them in the c5m of this or the other mod. The following are the relevant numbers used in the mod:

Custom Terrains N/A
Terrain Groups -1049 to -1053
Variables N/A

Future Updates

There are not currently any plans to add anything more to the mod, however if you have any ideas feel free to leave suggestions in the comments.

Got it, I'll just ignore Raise Limitanei then. Thanks for the help!

Then is it likely Senator Enhanced, its been a while since I looked ubt I'm pretty sure that mod adds its own ritual which there isn't much I can do about. The rituals should both work fine still.

Once again, thanks for the info, but the issue seems to persist even when it is just Latifundia, Limes, Legion, and Senator Enhanced.

Ah, thank you very much! I will start disabling mods to see which one it is. Thanks!

Hi, you're experiencing a mod conflict, this mod makes the normal Raise Limitanei ritual functionally removed from the game, so another mod is either re-enabling it or is adding a completely new one; it also should have a description.

Raise Limitanei with Exercitus Logistician is the ritual you want to use from this mod; it raises limitanei like the normal one but also provides a Logistician who gives you small bonus gold income.

Hello there! The Clericus Senatorius and the Senator have two rituals: 'Raise Limitanei,' which costs 25 gold and has no description, and 'Raise Limitaneii with Exercitus Logistician,' which has a description and costs no gold.

Are the lack of description for 'Raise Limitanei,' and 'Raise Limitaneii with Exercitus Logistician' costing no gold bugs? Also what is the difference between the two, as both can only be casted at fortified locations.

If you're using the Illwinter Games Server you can't play with mods.

If you're using a private game server I have heard that you may need to edit the names of the folder and .c5m file to remove all the spaces.

If that doesn't work an alternative is to play hotseat using Steam Remote Play, just have there be 2 player controlled players on a team. That way you can play 'singleplayer' with 2 people.

Thanks for letting me know, I've fixed the problem though this is potentially a save breaking update. I overlooked the fact that both the Dark Emperor and GEOTUW have their own ritual schools separate from the normal Senator's, so I've added all of the new rituals to both of theirs.

I haven't tested it so let me know if it isn't working properly.
