Depth Strier

Description
Strier is pleased to introduce the Third Lift capable vehicle for the Wave Strier Echo, The Depth Strier.

This Clever little Submarine features an Airlock (With a slow-ish pump) Depth hold, and Tether capabilities.

The Depth Strier like the other Add-on vehicles has buttons to control the Echo remotely such as winch and hoist, but unfortunately due to size restraints the ship can not control the sub remotely, The depth Strier is more for special use cases. To get the sub on the hoist, make sure the bilge is empty and use drive mode to approach the hoist and with 'S' pitch the nose up to allow the connector to reach. The hoist at it’s default position is all the way out, and the subs connectors can’t go any higher.

The Depth Strier was specifically designed for the Wave Strier Echo but can be used on it's own. though the submarine has a very limited range and is best carried by the Echos hoist.

Depth Hold is demanding on the battery and is slow, Best dive method is With drive mode and using The pitch to dive, then using Depth hold. As an alternative use infinite electricity or electrical cable tether DIRECTLY off the winch.

3 Turns on depth hold, 5 sends keypad input to the depth hold and is overridden by the Up and Down arrows
4 Toggles a forced on for Surface and dive for quick input.

The Tail houses a very small engine to help top off the battery after surfacing, I am considering replacing it with more batteries and logic space, I'd be curious of thoughts and ideas!

The airlock is slow to cycle and will not open the inner hatch till the water level has dropped, The alternative is high pressure use which requires a suit and deemed too dangerous for survival use.

The Sub has numerous other features to be explored such as a large air tank and advanced logic to insure the sub can resurface, 2 Semi-flexible arms with a mag-all and welder for underwater missions, and multiple anchor points for using the ships winch to pass lines onto recovery missions.

I Sink a lot of time and effort into my creations and I love working on them, I welcome any suggestions and questions regarding them. That being said, please don't re-upload them modified or otherwise, and respect the credited creations helping to make mine that much better. I will promptly make fixes or address any issues any update creates.

I found that even surface mode isn't a great option, The best way to connect to the hoist is while moving forward in drive mode, use 'S' key to pitch the nose up before reaching the connectors as it is those that grab the sub, it is what I have been doing and I didn't think to add it to desc.

Sorry I must correct myself, do not use arm mode to meet the hoist, i have and it is not pleasant.

Naturally water in the ballast will make it much harder without the depth motors.

There is little i can do to correct that, the arms can’t go any further. I been trying to think up a clever solution, on surf or arm you should be able to raise up enough out of the water. Otherwise it does eventually grab the sub after some time

I find it very hard to dock to the echo beacue the arms are too high

As part of an update i will see about using a PID to control that valve, might be able to add a suit mode into that same circuit by setpoint

4 is the point in which you start taking damage, the valve simply opens and closes to prevent oberpressure

PS why does exceeding 4 bar make you need a suit? (Haven’t played since right before the most recent dlc)
