I found that even surface mode isn't a great option, The best way to connect to the hoist is while moving forward in drive mode, use 'S' key to pitch the nose up before reaching the connectors as it is those that grab the sub, it is what I have been doing and I didn't think to add it to desc.

Sorry I must correct myself, do not use arm mode to meet the hoist, i have and it is not pleasant.

Naturally water in the ballast will make it much harder without the depth motors.

There is little i can do to correct that, the arms can’t go any further. I been trying to think up a clever solution, on surf or arm you should be able to raise up enough out of the water. Otherwise it does eventually grab the sub after some time

I find it very hard to dock to the echo beacue the arms are too high

As part of an update i will see about using a PID to control that valve, might be able to add a suit mode into that same circuit by setpoint

4 is the point in which you start taking damage, the valve simply opens and closes to prevent oberpressure

PS why does exceeding 4 bar make you need a suit? (Haven’t played since right before the most recent dlc)

Good luck!

I’ve just started playing atormworks again, and plan on messing with moon-pools (which are like airlocks without a floor), if I come up with anything I think will be useful, I know where to comment (:

I am messing around with removing the buggy relief valve and works noticeably better but the sub loses lots of air, I will continue to tinker with it :D

That is 1 of the few things I would love to improve,I am personally not a fan of the Slow airlock.
Telrayn  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 3:31pm
It is there in a natural since by way of the Variable valve inside the airlock, if I can find the room for it in theory I could have an option to exceed 4 bar with a warning for suit use, I'll have to see how doable that is. I know there is 2 ports in the Airlock for water but they both go to 1 pipe due to space issues, That is also another issue with it being slow.

"The alternative is high pressure use which requires a suit and deemed too dangerous for survival use."

does that mean you have it there, but it's a feature that is dangeras to use?

I’m not able to update it right now so before it is said, I did forget to put in the continuous dive stop circuit so careful not to smash it into the sea floor.

Awesome! let me know how it goes, I learned a lot from this Sub and I can already see a better Bilge for the Echo and even a full size Submarine.
