Description
The Charon-class light frigate is a type of escort ship manufactured by SinoViet Heavy Machinery and formerly in service with the CMA Navy and UNSC Navy. Ships of this class are used primarily in fleet escort duties, planetary defense, and the landing & deployment of mobile troops. This spacefairing ship has been converted to function as a submarine, and now serves as a dreadnaught in the Coalition's Navy, its MAC cannon has been replaced by a laser rated for starship hulls. Features 2 ODST pods.

Attack Tier III
Price: 48,000mks
Dimensions: 68x23m
Cargo: 16 Crates
Recommended crew size: 8-16
Recommended crew experience: Experienced

------------------------------------

Armaments:
x4 coilgun batteries, three linked turrets each, set to fire in a sequence that mirrors the Halo 2 Battle rifles fire rate. (Accidentally made the best bot weapon as the first burst usually catches a target with at least one shot, then the second hits them while they are flinching)
x1 standard chaingun on the sturn end.
x1 twin-linked chainguns on the aft nose above the giga laser.
x1 Giga laser comprised of 4 pulse lasers set to continuous fire, functions closely to the halo 3 spartan laser. Half empties both of the linked pulse ammo boxes on use. (Do not use tri-beam lasers as the extra beams will shred the barrel.) (Repairing and reloading the giga laser should be done quickly as the radiation sink where the capacitor and loaders are is always irradiated.)
x2 Depth charge tubes, set to fire with 3.5 second delay from each other, allowing the first charge to reach its target and detonate without detonating the second. (Primarily a concern for nuclear depth charges.)

------------------------------------
Utilities:
x1 Medical fabricator
x1 Research lab
x1 Fabricator
x2 deconstructions
x5 beds in total, 2 decontamination/quarantine beds in medical, and 3 cryo tubes in the cryo bay.
x16 diving suit lockers positioned around the ship in relevant departments.
x3 extra status monitors positioned in near the engine room, gunnery and the fabricators to make managing the larger ship easier for mechanics and engineers.
------------------------------------

Features two ODST drop pods called "Helljumper 1" and "Helljumper 2" They can be deployed for infinite range and are ideal for abyss mining, sending a small team to downed enemy subs and beacon stations, as well as sending them directly into caves for mining missions. The pods are fragile, so the crewmen inside should be provided welders, and their battery life should last long enough if the team doesn't delay. The drop pods do not feature mineral scanners.

------------------------------------

Features an advanced helm setup, where the 'Helmsman' is in control of the afterburners which allow the very slow ship to quickly accelerate and gain momentum for longer trips or dodge icebergs or monsters. The helmsman also has access to a toggling periscope that can switch between on top or below the submarine. The Helmsman finally is able to close the shutters on the command room in case of a breach or attack.

Additionally, the command room features a navigators chair in front of the helm, which cannot steer the sub, but has access to two rear and forward mounted transducers that allow the sonar range to be extended in either direction on toggle. The Navigator terminal features the only mineral scanner on the sub. The navigators terminal also features the helms status monitor, which the helmsman cannot access from the helm.

A experienced captain will be able to switch between the two consoles, but for ideal efficiency there should be two people coordinating in the helm.

There is a memorial in the barracks for recording lost crew members.

The toilets in the locker rooms are functional and you can hide inside them if there's traitor shenanigans or for RP, I have also noticed bots without work to do like to slack off in there which is pretty funny imo XD

Do not use the food processor in the cafeteria, it is out of order, you have been warned.

Important notes:
Do not sell revolvers, assault rifles, smgs, riot shotguns or HMGs directly from the submarine, as I used some non intractable ones in the armoury sign. This can break the sign, though the sign is entirely cosmetic and the weapons lockers are labelled anyway.
This ship might actually be a Paris class not Charon class, but I am having trouble finding a concrete answer one way or another. :P
Its the one in the picture.

Dedicated in loving memory to Zachary Ross

Did any of the baro updates break something? What needs updating?

The space brick's shape is just kind of boring and I can't think of a good gimmick for it other than warthog and scorpion drones :P

Now make the funny Marathon or Halcyon aka space brick, please.

The option when saving is the one where you select whether the submarine should be equipped with things automatically or nothing.

If you select nothing you have to set everything manually, otherwise it would be empty.

Selecting empty and putting nothing in is bad, because those who customize the start files to start with the submarine then have no things, not even diving suits because you have to put them manually in their lockers.

Even if you customize the biomes you would have the problem if you buy it in biome 1, because you would have too little of whatever when changing over, only when one would arrive in biome 2 you might have enough when changing, that all the people you have then also have something.

So you are always happy when you find a lot of stuff on a submarine, because most of it is not needed and you can sell and dismantle it, diver suits give titanium.

A quick way to get rid of excess supplies when switching to any submarine is to shift-middle click, 1 (sometimes 2 depending on how the game's contextual orders are tiered) to set items to be deconstructed, if you have a bot set to deconstruct items all you have to do is wait for everything to be broken down.

The containers are all tagged correctly but the sub editor does fill a lot of things by default when you load the submarine, so if you have a bot set to cleanup items they will put everything where it belongs as well.

level 3 submarines and bad suits that says nothing at all, because there are several ways to start with a level 3 in multiplayer without campaign goes equal to a level 3 no matter what it costs, if campaign is, there it must be changed in the file to have more start money, and if you change the biomes file you can also buy a level 3 in biome 1.

Or his method, cheats, which unfortunately deactivate the achievements for the save.

That's why my info below in the comments how to customize these two files and where to find them, that you can start with higher submarine or buy where you want. / Give not a Mods that this can.

Before version 1.0 you could buy every level everywhere, unfortunately they made it so that only from biome 4 level 3 is available, which makes little sense from the story if the world is so dangerous and there are not so many who do these missions, so buying them everywhere with a slightly higher price if you buy them before would be fine.

These tags have only been in the game for a few updates, all submarines before this update still have their old tags, and new submarines don't have them either because they all have to be done manually, as only the standard tags are there.

When you transfer from one submarine to another, everything always ends up in boxes on the bottom, and diving suits on the bottom if there are more than there is room for.

Diver suits the game doesn't decide which suit is the better one, it has to replace other worse suits if it can, an update didn't mention that.

Things you buy always end up in boxes on the ground, if you don't buy things directly to your character inventory and suitcases you took with you.

And the most tedious thing that needs fixing: manual equipment. You need to remove all the items that are in the submarine by default. And just put tags in some repositories (so that the game places the items itself).

Now I'll explain why: I hosted an open company and we decided to switch to this submarine with the transfer of things. It took the next hour to recycle the spacesuits (which are simply useless for a level 3 submarine, because we switched to it when the depth was already more than 4000 meters), drag part of the arsenal from the medical compartment (this happened just because of the unsigned tags in some storages).
