Description
Fists of Lyssa is the newest diety the join the fleet, made for Reforged Eden 2! A completely new combat ship designed to maximize performance in a compact design, while offering enough protection, and maximum firepower, to overwhelm the enemies. Named after the Greek Goddess Lyssa - known for Rage, Fury, and….Rabies? Anyway, the word lyssa also means “frenzy” or “madness” which she certainly delivers in this ship!

Want to see an upgraded version of this ship stomp a Tovera? Check it out here:
https://youtu.be/m6ut1Y2khqo

Starting at a core 9, it contains the following features:
• 20 Light Plasma Cannons
• 7 Infrared & 3 Gamma Light Modulated Turrets
• 93.5k Shield – All Basic & Improved Parts Included
• 7 Kiloton Spawn Weight- Full Xeno Hull – About 2,000 Xeno Blocks
• Multiple Decoy Positions – The Fists of Confusion!
• Extremely Agile with Near Optimal Thrust Positioning
• Two 320k Ammo & Two 640k Controller Systems
• Fully Upgradeable to Core 17
• Dedicated Space for Max Turrets, Shields, & CPU

The “Fists” serve a couple purposes. First, they are extra armored sections that help spread out the damage during fights. Both “Fists” contain a small thruster & small generator, and are located further forward on the ship than the same decoys in the nose. This generally makes most incoming fire aimed at them. Since they are further out on the ship, they also rotate faster, helping you avoid incoming shots. Additionally, if you do a lot of movement, the AI will change targeting between the fists. This seems to sometimes delay incoming shots as the enemy turrets reacquire a new target, hence reducing incoming DPS.

The thrusters are 2x2 Advanced Plasma Thrusters. They can be upgraded to Advanced Antimatter Thrusters, but not a 3x3 version. Due to the favorable positioning, smaller frame, and upgrade options available, the 2x2 thrusters are all you need to run the ship, even at core 17!

At core 9 you can easily take out an Imerat, Infector, or Decimator. You can also clear most Drone fields with relative ease to get those drone parts for Aux Cores. As you increase your cores, you will be able to solo the most difficult enemies with this ship.

At Core 17 you can max all shields, weapons, thrusters, and turrets and still have some CPU left over.

Great to hear & good feedback! It’s always interesting to hear how others modify the ships to fit their needs.

One note you made about decoys and having multiple turrets. There is one turret decoy and one manual weapon decoy. The reason those both exist is because they are separate targeting groups. So if you only have one, you’re bound to get enemies targeting your real weapons of the others.

Enjoy!

(1/2) Lyssa is my all-rounder for playing on the HWS server with a few changes. Instead of 2 small reactors I put 1 large one, to take advantage of +500 shield charge; this was not easy, but I managed it. Between both sets of engines, just behind the small turrets, I put a large area to include several large cargo containers. Lots of them. With the 2x2 engines upgraded to antimatter and at 3/4 charge, the ship moves with surprising ease and turns quickly. I had in mind to redesign the engine area to fit the 3x6x3 Drives, but they are not needed. Inside the nose there are two small turrets that will be there to draw enemy fire, but wouldn't just one be enough? On the other hand, the most expensive part of the ship is, without a doubt, the 10 laser turrets because of the diamonds they require. Another change I made was to the cockpit, for better vision, and a Tool Turret on the nose (retractable) to mine asteroids.

(2/2) As for weapons, I usually carry small laser turrets of all kinds and medium ones, mostly to destroy shields, as they work very well against POIs on planets, including Legacy ones. 4 Heavy Plasmas (my favorite weapon) and 4 Cruise Missiles complete the arsenal.
For repairs I use a small CB (Repair Kit) and for mining on planets a small and practical SV.
And I don't need anything else to be able to do anything.
Thank you very much for the ship, for the new version and for the "new" core17 that I'm looking forward to seeing.

Fists of Lyssa has been updated today. I have removed the Medium Plasma Cannons and replaced them with 20 Light Plasma Cannons. With the left over CPU, I added 2 Plasma Thrusters for increased side thrust. The mediums were removed to reduce initial spawn cost.

With these changes there is left over CPU for you to upgrade as you acquire the parts.

Abandoned POI’s on planets. Each one will give you about 2

hey folks. how do you get these legacy parts?

Thanks

Yes. 2 smalls is sufficient. Almost certain you only need one small and one advanced gen, if you want to save some CPU.

so is the plan for 2 small fusions I could not quite seem to shoehorn in large ?
