Description
The Ballantide is an upgradable Core7 Battleship made for REFORGED EDEN 2.

The Ballantide is a marriage of Core7 Efficiency, and Late-game Upgradeability. Built to be brought in without the need for Quantum or Auxillary parts, the Ballantide can be outfitted for Xeno-only requirements, or be outfitted as a full-core Core14 w/ 6 Heavy manuals, 17 turrets, 4 Large shield extenders + more.

The ship is a novel design, w/ side by side Large shield extenders to maximize useable space while saving as much forward-section as possible for long, strong Xeno Decoy lines. This ship is more than a match for Legacy battleships, including the eradicator. w/ 6 Decoy lines each with 7-10 Layers of frontal Xeno, The Ballantide shrugs off disruptor fire and keeps the enemies attention where it belongs, off your weapons, and on your armor.

The Ballantide is an exceedingly slimline ship, Lean side to side, and top to bottom, it is exceptional both in Shield-heft, and it's ability to hide in an enemies blind-spot. I have neverr built anything that holds this much capacity inside of this small a footprint, it is truly an exceptional example of efficient use of space and able combat-design.

This ship is a recommended upgrade from The Shippo, it has all of that ships talents, w/ Heavier weapons, more tanking ability, and WAY more upgradeability.

The Ballantide can be down-graded by trading ouut its Heavy manuals for Light ones, and its Large shield extenders for medium ones, resulting in a No-kit, no special parts variant that requires only Xeno Material. I am very proud to release this ship, It's a design I believe in and I hope it serves you all very well.

Hey Art, great ship as usual, will def inspire me to make a compact battleship!

I noticed you used Cylinder 6-way blocks for your cargo extensions, I assume due to lagshot still existing. It turns out that the regular cylinder block also has 8 kl storage but has 10 fewer triangles, and more air space, so possibly better for lagshot protection. You may want to use those ones instead.

ArtemisRouge, the Ballantide is a very impressive ship. As someone who enjoyed the Stratovarius, I was interested to see your new design, and I've been pleased with its performance. The compact design is remarkably efficient=)

Overall, the Ballantide is a well-designed and effective battleship. It's a worthy successor to the Stratovarius

If you liked this ship but want something that Mounts the new ( 8 ) Heavy weapon limit, The Arcadian is that ship. All 8 Manual weapon slots, all mounted at eye level, only 6 blocks targettable blocks tall, heavier frontal armor, and armored weapons. The Ballantide will eventually be rebuilt to accomodate the new weapon limits, but consider The Arcadian to be a replacement in the meantime, it is a meaner, heavier, more effective ship, and can also be brought in as a Core7.

Slight generator red-lining is not necessarily a problem. If a ship never redlines, it's because it has significant un-used power generation ( inefficiencies )... If you can fight for half an hour with minimal damage to the generator from redlining, that is not a problem.

HI,
I get generator overload right out of the box. (shild chargig and moving)
Is there something I should have added before using it?

Thank you answering!

It's not an Either or thing... Sentries are easy to fit into any design and add a lot of extra firepower.

Artemis thank you for the hard work. I was wondering, why all the sentry guns instead of bigger turrets?
