Crimson's NT Expansion

In 1 collection by Crimson
Whippersnapper Modlist
76 items
Description
Contains a collection of items and patches for NT that I feel are more suited to NT overall. Place ABOVE Neurotrama

CRIM industries with the support of the Europa Coalition provides the following items for your medical malpractice.
Chest seal - Bandage that treats pneumothorax, low skill but lasts for a short time
Sodium bicarbonate - Pillbox containing tablets that induce alkalosis via neutralising acids in the body
Splint - Reusable first aid treatment for fractures, however, it is expensive and you can hold less.
Stem Cell Therapy - High tech medicine used in repairing your organs.
More to come!

Current overrides
Needle - Traumatic shock comes at all times using a needle (humans don't like seeing things poking out of them), can be reduced with high skill.
Fractures - Required so your bones don't sound like your cousin eating crisps whilst watching a movie when healed by a splint.

What's currently being worked on
Cauterisable wounds
Chem addiction overhaul

Roadmap from highest priority to lowest
Cervical collar for neck fractures
Gypsum breaking in water as you need special ones to be waterproof
Cauterisable wounds via welding tool / plasma cutter
Advanced combat medicines (will come with extreme side effects and other stuff)
Desflurane as an inhaled anaesthetic - emergency surgery without a table, will need to be constantly applied
Etomidate as short acting, quickly degrading anaesthetic - quick surgery or stealing organs
Smelling salts/Ammonia - wake up, wake up, wake up, will provide very brief consciousness for combat emergencies

Compatability
won't work with anything that overrides NT's fractures
no localisation
other than that i'm not sure, make a discussion if it isn't working

No, I have no reason to play baro anymore as my crew no longer plays it so this mod has been rotting

Love your work man us medics NEED the desflurane/etomidate in a form of an inhaler or a bottle to put into an ambulance bag

Prodijy, I was actually considering this for a long time with my mates, I might do it eventually :steamhappy:

Sup orthos, I work on the mod whenever my crew has their baro phase which is like once every few months, thus it isn't updated for the newest NT version which includes gel ice packs. Though, the fork never had needles that healed BT, only pneumothorax?

I don't want to specialise my mod into Orthopedics as my roadmap and the current items (stem cell therapy, chest seal, sodium bicarbonate) stems away from the field of Orthopedics. Thank you for the comments :)

AND another thing: I would just name your mod "NT Orthopedics" and make a visual with a bone so you have a clear and lean NT addon :-9

And for your future plans of "Chem addiction overhaul" look at dornam's work. He did a very good job with his mod

Hi Crimson! very nice work! we are currently working on another addon to NT but I just want to draw your attention to the fact, that the new NT fork (maintaned NT) does not have needles for blunt force trauma healing any more (cause it maked no sense). instead it has Gel Ice Packs. So I would completely remove the "Needle - Traumatic shock comes at all times using a needle (humans don't like seeing things poking out of them), can be reduced with high skill."

For a portable anaesthetic like a surgery table, a diving mask would be a good item to do this with. Instead of oxygen you have a bottle of anaesthetic. Maybe it puts you into a coma or something or idk as a negative.

Aye, thanks for responding; as for the blunt force trauma thingamajig i suggest some type of compress with a topical chemical or something along those lines. It would make sense for blunt force traumatisms and the topical could be something with like barely subdermal stem cells, which in turn would help quickly patch up the trauma. Thank you for the fix!
