In this update, we have made the following improvements:

  • Changed Font: The in-game font has been updated to a more visually appealing style.
  • Removed Annoying White Borders: The white borders around map fonts have been removed for a cleaner look.
  • Splited in Minor Mods: Fonts and Remove White Borders now are separed Mods.

This mod transforms the look of the Crusader Kings 3 map, providing a more refined and artistic visual experience.

Key Features:

  • No Performance Hits: No performance changes. We are using pure vanilla base code with tweaks and also removed a lot of textures.
  • More Elegant Borders: The map borders have been redesigned to be more elegant and pleasing to the eye.
  • Artistic Paper Map: The map now features an artistic paper style, providing a more immersive and stylized feel.
  • Hidden Unsightly Terrain Borders: The borders of impassable terrains have been hidden to improve the overall map aesthetics.
  • New Beautiful Font: The game's text has been changed to a more beautiful and readable font, enhancing the reading experience.
  • Closer Paper Map Zoom: Allows for closer zoom on the paper map for detailed viewing.
  • Smoother Paper Map Transition: Smoother transitions when switching to the paper map.
  • Darker Paper Sea: Includes a darker sea on the paper map, taken from the Darker Paper Sea (ironman) mod.
  • Various Clutter Borders Removed: Several visual clutter borders that polluted the map's aesthetics have been removed for a cleaner and more pleasant view.

Recommended Mod to Use Together

We recommend using the Better Camera Zoom mod for an even more comprehensive experience. This mod will be installed as a dependency by default but can be ignored if preferred.

There seems to be a memory leak and an eventual crash with this mod enabled, it seems to be a common error with other map graphics mods also spamming the error.log with: Could not find map mode "title_troops"

This is just utterly beautiful. I don't even care that much that it doesn't quite work when you zoom far out in Rajas of Asia.

it’s fantastic,However, I feel that it might be a bit too bright. Would you consider releasing a version with a darker and softer tone?

Any idea how to get mods like this working with Princes of Darkness? They change the map and it's... so hard to look at.

steam comments are really annoying cause its usually just people nagging for mods to be updated and nothing is wrong with the mod.

idk it just says the mod(s) are out of date / made for an older version, not sure if they don't work anymore or not though haven't actually tried it out.
