“I just want to end the war”, with no consequences?
Context:
I tried to extort my friend — asking for all his money in exchange for peace — and because I sent the peace request myself, the mod interpreted it as a surrender on my part.
I understand there may be technical limitations in how the mod handles peace mechanics, but would it be possible to include an option like:
“I just want to end this war — no consequences”?
This would help differentiate between tactical surrender and simply choosing to stop the war.
One of the things I need to clarify and i haven't edited the mod dilemmas to reflect this, is that folks 1. Need to read but 2. I need to clearly define what will happen during a mutiny.
In multiplayer campaigns, not everyone has the same level of experience, and no one actually enjoys steamrolling their friends who have way less playtime and wiping them out of the campaign.
With this mod, attacking them becomes way more fun — they can put up a fierce fight, and when they eventually lose, they don’t just disappear; they’re forced to join your cause.
On top of that, the absence of this kind of mechanic in the base game actually pushes the community toward a PvE-oriented playstyle — mainly for the reasons mentioned above. There’s no real power dynamic that can emerge, so most campaigns just end up being pure co-op against a weak AI (unless you mod it to be smarter).
