The bold but charismatic, penguin-loving idol, Haruka Kiritani, has joined the Fray as a new playable fighter!

Arriving from Project Sekai: Colorful Stage ft. Hatsune Miku (or Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage), Haruka's here to show off the skills of a professional idol, and Fraymakers happens to be her next destination to show that!

Sprites and animations were all created from the ground up by myself! Shoutout to Nyon for helping create the Haruka Kiritani render, and many thanks to a bunch of others in the McLeodGaming discord for helping out with the project as well!

Some useful facts while playing Haruka:

-You can hold and turn Haruka around while holding the ball in Jab 3.
-Dash Attack has three alternate attacks to it, depending on if you hit the Attack, Special, or Shield button!
-You can angle Haruka's Forward Air to change the trajectory of the ball.
-Neutral Special can reflect projectiles.

SPECIAL MOVES:

Neutral Special: Bell Stick Slam

Haruka pulls out a bell stick and holds it over her head. Hold the Special Button to charge the attack. This move has a long charge, but can be released early when the Special button is released. When fully charged, this move has an extreme close up and can ring out opponents at 0! Good luck hitting it though lol

Side Special: Idol's Flip

Haruka freezes in place, before jumping and spinning around in an arc in front of her. This move is very useful for recovering back to stage. Hitting the special button again will have her perform a kick, which can knock opponents away, and can even spike some unlucky recipients!

Up Special: Parasol Glide(r)

Yes, this is a play on words for a song in Project Sekai.
Haruka pulls out a parasol and thrusts it above her twice, once unopened and opening it up on the second one. After this animation, Haruka is free to fall down slowly with the umbrella. She's also able to move around very quickly horizontally while gliding down. Hitting the Down button closes the parasol and causes her to fall at a more normal rate, but hitting the Up button during this will cause her to reopen her parasol and glide down slowly again!

Down Special: Penguin Plush

Haruka takes out a megaphone and a penguin plush appears by her feet. She then yells into the megaphone, causing the penguin plush to rush forward at a fast rate. This penguin travel across the stage until it reaches the edge, where it'll fall off. This move is a good combo starter and positioning tool, allowing Haruka to approach opponents safely!
