BETA Living UBoat 2024.1 BETA


! IMPORTANT: THIS IS THE FIRST BETA FOR 2024.1 !



The aim of this mod is to generate more shipping traffic. The ports should also become livelier, with shipping traffic in and out of the ports.
The air patrols will be expanded and German and American airplanes will be added (no textures for German and American airplanes exist yet)

Already realized:

- German air patrols
- American air patrols
- U4 1939 now takes off from Kiel
- U4 patrols in the North and Baltic Sea added
- Ship traffic in the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal
- Extended transports around the world
- German transports in and out of German ports
- Extended and additional convoys
- New ports added
- Port defense added
- Increased the number of fishing boats around the world
- Increased presence of false flag transports worldwide
- Added air raids in the course of the war

What this mod does not do:

- add 3D models
- add textures / skins
- extended convoy messages from BDU
- change of the world grid
- Add new code

The mod is still a work in progress and will continue to be expanded.

The mod is not compatible with old savegames, you have to create a new campaign.
BUT: There is a very good Mod from Salamander, which allows you to use old saves for such mods.

I have tested this mod and it seems to work well with 2024.1 . It makes it possible to use old savegames with Living UBoat.
Important note: new tasks (e.g. conquering harbors) can NOT be added with the reload mod.




This mod don't want to be historical correct
, it just adds more traffic (and other stuff :) ) to the game!

Please note, this mod implement a lot of additional traffic into the game therefore performance issues are possible! To avoid this use the travel system with care.



This is not a copy of UBE or UBE Lite

Seems like I can't upgrade my uboot on an old savegame. Fair warning for those who use the reload mod.

I believe I might have encountered an issue. While I was sitting in the port of Wilhelmshaven, a friendly convoy began it's approach to the harbor while being attacked by a British flagged Type VIIC (this is the only spawnset mod I have, so I'm assuming it's this?). Being the helpful guy that I am, I decided to help... By slamming my sub into the side of the enemy sub at full tilt... I submitted a radio report that I sunk the enemy Uboat (for 7500 points), and to my unpleasant surprise, I was immediately branded a traitor by Bdu and unceremoniously gunned down by the convoy I just saved.

Is there anyway to complete a mission via console command? I'm currently unable to finish Weserübung as there are always submerged subs on the way and the destroyers seem absolutely useless

Is this mod spawning Type VII as enemy subs? Having one in the first mission of Weserübung and can't kill it...
