"Tempest" Class Fast Attack Craft

Description

------------------------------------------
The Tempest Class is exactly what a fast attack craft should be, a large powerplant with a ship built around it, and then some missiles and guns slapped on top. The little brother to the Typhoon class, the Tempest is faster and easier to use than its bigger sibling. Reaching speeds exceeding 120 KTS the Tempest excels in shock tactics and hit and run combat.

How to use:
- Flip the Systems on and Turbine ON/OFF switches
- Wait for the Turbine to start, spool up, and return to idle before moving
- Throttle controls clutch, rps, and forward/reverse
- Weapons can be controlled from either seat but must be turned on and armed
- Auto Chaff must be armed

Still WIP Please report any problems in the comments and if you like the ship leave a thumbs up to get it onto the front page

Yes, and if it cant find a target then it will circle the gps waypoint until it does or runs out of fuel. The best way to use the map to designate is first find your target with the search radar (green blobs on the map) then watch it for a while to see its rough direction and speed, and then set the gps target a little before the thing you want to hit. That way the missile will turn on its radar in time to see the actual target itself. Make sure to press the button “designate target from map” or something along those lines, its on the wpn control panel

got a question, if i designate a target via GPS and the missile approaches the GPS target, will it start looking for contacts near the destination?

The alarm is bc the turret fills with water but then empties itself, the pipes is so that every room pumps water out at the same time. So its like 5 or 6 ports pumping instead of just 1

it does trigger the flooding alarm but i didnt see water anywhere, also whats the point of rooms being connected by pipes at floor level?

You just reminded me to tsunami test my boats lol, thats not exactly expected behavior but I guess as long as it doesn’t fill with water thats alright lol

also discovered that it can literally swoop under a tsunami wave

the devs made a change not to long ago that made it so that subgrids attached to the main ship body no longer are invisible to the ships own radar. This means the ship detects its own missiles and is not really fixable as far as I know. I also didnt make the radar targeting system. As for the big radar yes it is used and can be accessed by pressing "next screen" on the weapons control panel and then the R button on the screen that comes up. That radar is a 20 Km search radar and can be used with the screen to manually designate targets for the missiles. Sadly it will also show your own ship as a radar contact (thanks devs)

also noticed that the radar cant tell the ship that carries it from other vehicles, is that gonna be changed at some point?
And does it even use the large radar above the targeting camera?
