Orphanage and Daycare

Description
Adds charity events and quests that allows you to take care of children and babies.

New Event

Child care request
A person from another faction has contacted you and made a request to take their child in as they cannot take care of them themselves.
A charity event, on accepting it, gain +15 goodwill with the faction and a new child or a baby to take care of.
Declining it will decrease goodwill by -5 and pawns with charity ideo will be upset.

New Quests

Opportunity Site: Orphan camp

A passing traveler told you that some orphans have set up a camp nearby. They have nothing to defend themselves with. They seem to be willing to join anyone that can take care of them.

A new site will generate on the world map near the colony base, upon arriving the orphans will join your colony.

Hospitality Quest: Daycare

Similar to the normal hospitality quests, you will be tasked with taking care of and protecting children or/and babies of different factions. With a reward of course.

Quest: Adoption request

You are contacted by another person interested in adopting one of your children. This quest only appears if you have orphaned children (meaning children that don't have blood relatives in player colony) under 13 years.

Just came across an Orphan Camp map with just x92495 wood logs inside a room.
I don't really know what happened here but I guess I'll never be out of wood. :papyrus:

You should put a MayRequire for Royalty on the hospitality quests, it causes errors if you only have Biotech.

Huh. I never knew that I wanted this mod until I came across it.
This will be pretty good for a number of mod lists that I'm planning.
Especially any playthrough that has a colony that will be decent people or a xenotype that can make more of itself by mutating others.
Even the DUNE Butlerian Jihad will want this (more humans agains the machines).
And the 40K colonies (more warriors for the Emperor).

fixed it restarting my computer before resubscribing got it download the correct version thank you for the help and great mod.

Try unsubscribing and then resubscribing, maybe steam didn't download the update for you for some reason

Mod description says it was updated for 1.6 but in game it is still showing it as 1.5 only

I just had a very unusual encounter. I got a quest to pick up an orphan in a camp near my base, so I sent a couple people over. I then had a psychic ship mechanoid raid land on my base while they were away, just before I got to the orphan. So far so normal. Getting to the orphan camp an hour later, I was immediately hit by a raid on the orphan camp! This was with the full value of my colony, so a couple colonists, a few horses, and a 3-year-old with no defenses against 40 elite mercenaries. I use Cassandra, so it shouldn't be possible for a raid to occur within the same hour as another raid. This was like an "ambush" but instead of being scaled to my pawns, it the size of a full raid that would hit my colony.

Like the events but it causes a bunch of errors.
