[GM] White Forest - Inn

The White Forest Inn at the height of the Uprising.

See it before the Seven Hour War or during the Combine occupation.

//Requirements//
Episode 2 is required to see the beams of energy reaching into the sky. Everything else should be packed into the map. The map file itself should be "gm_whiteforestinn" in the menu, minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might cause some issues for users on lower end PCs despite rigorous optimization. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

//Gameplay//
  • All buildings and routes back and forth across the map have been made easily accessible
  • Fully interactive Combine generator garage
  • Spawnable Combine soldiers and headcrabs
  • Two different teleport destinations from a spawn room
  • Navmesh and nodegraph

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

//Development//
Reworking this was relatively straight forward. Reversing some of the Combine shield scripts and getting the generator buttons to work was a bit of a hassle though. Some of the rock models have overlapping names with original HL2 models, so sorting those out required some decompiling. Oh and finally, getting the roadway back up to the Inn along the hairpins was a bit difficult since I wanted it to look like it was still falling apart but be wide enough to allow at least one car to go through.

Changing the mapname and adding it to your own tab quite literally broke all of the saves prior to that update, what is wrong with you man? Anyone know a fix?

you might have the games, but make sure you have them installed, and you have to mount them into gmod too.

i have ep2 and ep1, and css mounted, but i still cant see the beam in the portal thingy

this map is just so good i would not wonder if a pre-war version would be made i liked this map
