[GM] White Forest - Inn Occupation

The White Forest Inn at the height of the Combine's occupation and abandonment.

See it before the Seven Hour War or during the uprising.

//Requirements//
Nothing else should be required. Everything should be packed into the map. The map file itself should be "gm_whiteforestinn_occupation" in the menu, minus the quotation marks.

Do note that while no game should be required, the size and scope of the map might cause some issues for users on lower end PCs despite rigorous optimization. As well, be aware that despite attempts to prevent conflicts, other workshop items might still conflict with assets used in the map.

//Gameplay//
  • All buildings and routes back and forth across the map have been made easily accessible
  • Fully abandoned aesthetic with distant Citadel looming over the horizon.
  • Spawnable Combine soldiers, headcrabs, and zombies
  • Two different teleport destinations from a spawn room
  • Navmesh and nodegraph

While in the Gmod Sandbox mode, any dead bodies, blood stains, activated map scripts or other changes can be cleaned/reset using this: Pressing Q -> Utilities -> Admin -> Cleanup -> Cleanup Everything

//Development//
While I knew I wanted an "Occupation" version of the White Forest Inn, I wasn't sure how I wanted to approach it. I wasn't completely happy with the skybox for the "Occupation" version of Residential Block. As such, I decided to try something new for White Forest Inn. I started with a dusk skybox from the canals and fell in love immediately when I saw the fog mixing with the colours of the sky and light. I tweaked some of the interior lighting, found a couple of appropriate textures for the mountains and lighting, and I am very happy with the results. Getting the distant Citadel just right in terms of position, size and fog required some extra tweaking but I think it's quite good now.
