Description
Adds the ability to dig a pit and turn it into a pond, filling it with water and fish. The main difference from similar mods is a more interesting and complex process of creating a pond.

FAQ

How to get a common or cave pond?
Place the pond pit. Wait until the rain fills the pit with water. In winter, you shouldn't hope for it. The next step is release live pond fish or eel into the water. Depending on the type of fish, you will get a common or a cave pond.

How to get a marsh pond?
Release the mosquito into the a common pond.

How many fish or mosquitoes are required?
You can change the configuration of the mod. Change the amount of fish, the speed of filling with water and more. For example, by default, the pit fills with water in one game day of continuous rain, and populating with fish will require 6 eel or fish.

Will the man-made pond spawn frogs?
When a filled pit is filled with enough fish, the pit becomes a vanilla pond. This means it has all the standard properties, including starting to spawn frogs during the day. Or it can be used as a water source.

How to remove a pond or pit permanently?
Use the rocks in your hand to fill in the pond or pit and level it with the ground.

I want to make another pond or stock it with other fish. How do I do this?
  • If you want to turn a marsh pond into a common pond, use "Bug Net" on the pond itself several times to clear it of pests.
  • In other situations use the "Slurtle Slime" to exterminate the inhabitants and cleanse the pond. However, you will not receive fish or any other resources. Slime is found in caves. As a vanilla mechanic, you can feed the "Slurtle" or "Snurtle" with rocks or minerals to get "Slurtle Slime".

A very well thought out mod! It requires work and is not free and easy, but allows to set your environment more to your liking and opens up new strategies. This is a level of a game update (for DST anyway. For other games it would be a feature of a DLC). I command your work.

Just a quick question. Does this mod also allows to remove pre-generated ponds?

明明灭灭 . Thanks a lot for the feedback! This bug was caused by the cave pond freezing on the surface during winter. It was fixed in version 0.3.10.

Hello, I constructed a pond in the game, but subsequently, the game crashed.
Whenever I try to load the game, it crashes, but it functions normally once I disable this mod.

明明灭灭 . The pond requires a live eel. There can only be one fish in one inventory slot, so they are released into the pond one at a time.
