A very well thought out mod! It requires work and is not free and easy, but allows to set your environment more to your liking and opens up new strategies. This is a level of a game update (for DST anyway. For other games it would be a feature of a DLC). I command your work.

Just a quick question. Does this mod also allows to remove pre-generated ponds?

明明灭灭 . Thanks a lot for the feedback! This bug was caused by the cave pond freezing on the surface during winter. It was fixed in version 0.3.10.

Hello, I constructed a pond in the game, but subsequently, the game crashed.

明明灭灭 . The pond requires a live eel. There can only be one fish in one inventory slot, so they are released into the pond one at a time.

Only when I add eels to the pond one by one, will it become pond_cave
Because when I put multiple eels together in a pond, the character will prompt them to be lonely
Is this a bug? I have to add eels again and again, not all of them at once to the pond

Yep, I don't know why but on my side I can't transform the pond in one with fish, I have normal fish in hand (not from the sea) but I tried to over the pond to activate or drop it in, but no action displayed close to the cursor, and drop it on the ground doesn't work, ofc.

I didn't try before because the main reason to build it for me was to have a Water source
But now... I have no clue

Unable to fill with eel or fish. I am able to fill with rocks and functions as a water source.

No problem, there is no rush and it's just a Mod
And don't wast too much time on it, I think that it's not something who is important enough if it requiered a lot of time to make it.

I don't know if that the same, but I'm using a mod who let put a giant garlic waxed to stop the pop of bat if we drop it close to cave entrance, maybe the way the mod work could help you with the frog ?

Thanks for the feedback, it is very important. I realized that there is a demand for the ability to remove annoying frogs. I will try to somehow painlessly add this function to the mod, but I do not know when I will take on this and in what form it will be.

And, I wonder if you could do something to be able to make a pond with fish, like vanilla, but without the spawning frog ?
Maybe it isn't really possible, I don't lnow

About frogs. I have no information or statistics why players need to create a common pond in any place. In my experience, you usually need a water source closer to the farm. A flooded pit not inhabited by fish is perfect for this. If I need several ponds for a source of fish and food and there are no ponds nearby, then 2-3 ponds will be enough for me. In this case, frogs will also be a good source of food. In the case of Wurt, frogs are not a problem at all.

If this is needed, I can try to make the frogs friendly and this will need to be enabled in the mod settings.

Now it is possible to create a cave pond. The idea with Lichen could be an option, but then you need to make a pit without any plants at all and plant them later, when it fills with water. The second option is to use 2 different types of pits for a regular pond and a cave pond. But then the game mechanics with cleaning the pond and transforming it into another type will not work, since there will be no universal pit.

In general, I can change the creation process. Make a hole without plants, and then you need to plant either Reeds or Lichen. Then throw in fish or eels, but it seems to me that this is an unnecessary complication and it is better to leave it as is now. Although I may be wrong.

In order to make a cave pond we could do things like put X amount of Lichen in the pond and then throw in 2 eels in order to make it transform. Also, the frogs are really annoying to deal with, so it would be nice if the transformed pond didn't spawn them. However, if this option remains, it opens up a whole host of possible frog farms if you didn't get 'unlucky' and spawn in with the "frog hell" setpiece.

I want pond for decoration (late game) so it's okay to be expensive


In update 0.3.2, the water animation was fixed. Now the pit looks more like a regular pond with fish and frogs, but still has a different color. If you don't care that the pond will be without frogs and without fish, then as an option, you can not release the fish into the pit and it will remain a regular pit with water. But at the same time, it can still be used as a source of water.

As a suggestion for the hot springs idea, it could involve throwing a bath bomb into the filled pond and waiting for a full moon. I don't know if you'd want to make the process more complicated, but it would reflect how you crystallize the actual hotsprings.

Once a pond is populated with pond fish, it turns into a regular pond and has the same features as a vanilla pond. This means that frogs will also spawn during the day, and the pond will contain pond fish that will eventually breed.

There is no such option at the moment. I thought about adding the possibility to create a cave pond, but so far there was no clear understanding of what actions the player needs to do for this. I can definitely say that this is in the plans.
