Glimmers Expanded

Description
GlimmersExpanded
Cast your spells with expanded flair!

This mod adds 18 new glimmer spells! 3 of them can be found in the usual bunker that the glimmer spells are at, but the other 15 have a bit of a... twist to them. Visit the glimmer bunker for more details!

This mod also adds glimmer alchemy! The process includes a recipe: Australium + any Glimmer spell + any liquid. (The secondary recipe for Australium is urine + pus + flummoxium, three materials that may be hard to come by.) The result of this is a glimmer that is similarly-colored to the material!

Please, especially give me feedback on the alchemy part of the mod! Depending on how difficult or tedious the alchemy ends up being, I may change the materials involved.

Also, for those wondering, this is compatible with a multitude of mods, the most notable being Pride Glimmers (which also adds spells and shelves inside of the glimmer bunker). This mod also no longer relies on being below anything else in the mod list.

If you find any bugs, please let me know and I'll look into patching it as soon as I can.

Here's the link to the GitHub[github.com] version of the mod!

Modding!!
For the modders out there, you might be wondering, 'How can I create my own glimmers for this mod?' It's fairly easy! However, it is difficult to explain them in the Steam workshop, so head over to this mod's GitHub page for more info on this.

Someone in the Noita modding community discord mentioned working on a proper colored glimmer mod that fixes the invisible sprite issue.

The game doesn't color the projectile and instead just....hides it and only adds like a partial effect or something. I looked into it and it wasn't as easy as applying a color to an alpha layer on the sprite so you'd have to either make new sprites for all the colors and every projectile or make a system to do it automatically.

TLDR: someone wants to work on it. It's not easy, Lot's of work.

I like this mod. Wanted to point out its current position, using the Meta Leveling mod I can get different glimmers when gaining a level. I also find glimmers for sale in the store and wands. If this is the way it should be, then fine. But there is something that confuses me a bit, using your modified glimmers, some projectiles become invisible, in the end only color trails are visible.

I thoroughly appreciate the amount of thought and support you've put into custom glimmers and I like the new features you added for them! I tweaked rarities and updated the formatting for my glimmers, and it works as intended. Thank you for your efforts!

Oh, also Sirius, I've added some new functionality in creating modded glimmers that allows for making glimmers *not* spawn in the glimmer lab at all, among other things. Go check out the GitHub page for more details on that!

Thank you so much, Sirius!! This is exactly the impact I hoped the alchemy would have! The glimmers being inside of the glimmer lab (as I've grown to call it) is intentional, though. I considered making them hidden until the player first created each one, progressively "unlocking" each for future runs, but I was afraid that not many players would want to go through the effort of finding the three obscure materials for purely-cosmetic spells. I considered having a mod setting that would unlock them all by default... but I'm sure the average player has this mod downloaded purely for the cool new content. (If somebody else stumbles along this comment and feels otherwise, please let me know!!)

Also, for the recipe for Australium , try changing the order you throw materials onto each other--or even try flask mixing . Some trial and error should get you some results :D

I really like this mod and I added compatibility with it to one of my own (Forsaken Delicacies). You made it really easy to do and provided clear instructions for it, much appreciated. I can't seem to get the recipe for Australium to work, as it just gives me gate-opener as it usually does, but I find the extra step of panicking to pour lava on it equally as fun. I don't think the materials are too difficult at all, but that's coming from someone who made a mod entirely based on a comically long alchemy crafting tree so I may be a little biased lol. I like it because it caters to longer runs and they're all consistently obtainable materials, whether that be from spells or biomes which encourages exploration and mini-questing. Something I noticed that may be a bug was that in the glimmer bunker every glimmer was up for grabs on the shelves including my custom one, which defeats the intended purpose of going out and making them. Aside from that, I love this!
