Description
Frontlines is a weapon project inspired by Battlefield 1, essentially seeking to bring a style of arcadey early 1900s weaponry to the workshop. It also serves as a way for me to improve on modeling weapons and, for the first time ever, animating them myself.

This mod contains the Glompson-1920, a prototype of the legendary M-42 Glompson. Utilizing a heavy 11.4mm round, it's very potent in mid to long range engagements with its good handling and high capacity. Watch out for your ammo count, though, as you can burn through it surprisingly fast. Despite this, it will still be outmatched by machine pistols and shotguns at close range, so try to stay out of the closest distances.

Historical Section: This is based on the M1919 and M1921 Thompson SMGs. It has a fictional fire rate of 675 RPM, lower than the M1919 which could reach 1000 RPM, and lower than the M1921 which was around 900 RPM. This was mostly for balancing.

Thank you for reading this far. Join the server if you want, Frontlines is a project I have been extremely excited to make. More to come, albeit sporadically.

To my memory, I just named it Glompson because "haha glomp funny", but I might've accidentally / subconsciously nabbed the name from elsewhere. Idk what video you're referring to, though.

Is the name from that one video with that keeper of firearms and artillery reviewing VR guns?

I actually like the simpler animations they fit the rf style better

This was the worst and best name I've ever given something
It will remain Glompson for future releases for that reason

It's almost akin to modeling soft-surface type things, which you can likely see I'm not the best at with how my gunstock modeling style changes per-release. I'm not good with "smooth" things and that includes animations, same kinda principles apply there, despite being totally different.

When animating in Ravenfield I cannot make considerations for whatever other mods you have installed. I do not use those mods, nor do I have a 5 finger skin model I could even use as a reference while animating. The stock RF skin actually only has 2 finger bones for the 4 fingers, plus the thumb bone.
The first thing I have animated ever is the Frommer Stop Auto I released a bit ago and I've only animated all of 5 times total, since. The fact I am able to make an animation at all is enough for me, and while yes I am trying to get better it is an absolutely new art form for me with like nothing in common with modeling. Forgive me if it looks a little primitive.

By the way, I'm using skin with a finer hand model, where all five fingers appear, rather than four fingers joined together like in the original model.

I have tried a few of your works, I think the gun itself is OK, but the animation of changing bullets (especially the hand) seems a little crude and rigid, I hope you can make efforts in this aspect in the next works.
