To my memory, I just named it Glompson because "haha glomp funny", but I might've accidentally / subconsciously nabbed the name from elsewhere. Idk what video you're referring to, though.

Is the name from that one video with that keeper of firearms and artillery reviewing VR guns?

I actually like the simpler animations they fit the rf style better

This was the worst and best name I've ever given something
It will remain Glompson for future releases for that reason

It's almost akin to modeling soft-surface type things, which you can likely see I'm not the best at with how my gunstock modeling style changes per-release. I'm not good with "smooth" things and that includes animations, same kinda principles apply there, despite being totally different.

When animating in Ravenfield I cannot make considerations for whatever other mods you have installed. I do not use those mods, nor do I have a 5 finger skin model I could even use as a reference while animating. The stock RF skin actually only has 2 finger bones for the 4 fingers, plus the thumb bone.
The first thing I have animated ever is the Frommer Stop Auto I released a bit ago and I've only animated all of 5 times total, since. The fact I am able to make an animation at all is enough for me, and while yes I am trying to get better it is an absolutely new art form for me with like nothing in common with modeling. Forgive me if it looks a little primitive.

By the way, I'm using skin with a finer hand model, where all five fingers appear, rather than four fingers joined together like in the original model.

I have tried a few of your works, I think the gun itself is OK, but the animation of changing bullets (especially the hand) seems a little crude and rigid, I hope you can make efforts in this aspect in the next works.

As an example, the Silent Weapon System was talked about, which was that one silenced Model 70 bolt action; it fires cartridges that are about the same weight and size of black powder breechloaders like the Martini Henry and co., but at a lower velocity. That I could consider balancing against its 1910s-20s "peers". Another good example is latewar last-ditch German stuff; some of it is just so bad that I don't even need to make shit up for it, like the 7.92 Kurz models of the VK-98s or whatever they were called.

Yea, though "WW1" in quotes. I've got plans for weapons up to like WW2 or even early Cold War era now I think, but as far back as I can reasonably go (read: unrealistically make up balanced stats for). Things are going to be balanced around guns from like 1910-1920, but the guns themselves can be almost anywhere, as long as they're not unfair or really don't fit the vibe.

is the goal like a "vanilla style WW1"? I kinda dig it

No problem man. Take all the time you need.

I look forward to your future releases. Especially the Remington Lee, it's a pretty interesting rifle imo. Having a detachable box magazine in 1879 was unheard of.

Rotate the glompy

@...89Covet... I do plan on making bolt actions, yes. I already have a .45-70 Remington-Lee bolt action modeled, aka the thing that led to the Lee-Metford, Lee-Enfield, and eventually SMLE. Past that, I have an EXTREMELY work in progress Lebel, as in, I've blocked out the model and that's about it. I finally have a secondary bolt action pistol modeled, but it might be a bit before I mod it in, because it's kind of situational.

I realized after the Rother Halt Auto that I should prioritize more universal guns like SMGs or semi autos or similar over situational stuff like extremely close or extremely long range weaponry, if anything for my own sake. I can give a vague time estimate that the next gun will be in a week, because I've got a full-time job and it's hard making time for modding, despite how much I want to.

Excelent work!

Looking forward to how this series progresses. Are there any bolt-action rifles planned or in the works? I'd love to see a fictional rifle, that would work well in V+ Configs.

Keep it up. :104:
