UBOAT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Leave Port Button

Part of the UBOAT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) collection.

This mod will MOSTLY show the Leave Port fast travel button under the following conditions:
  • The boat is not alarmed
  • The boat has docked at least once since activating this mod
  • The boat is docked OR has just undocked (NOTE: sometimes will not show up on save load, simply increase speed to undock and the button will show)
  • The boat is within 5km of its last dock

Does not require a new game. May disable achievements (I don't really know)

Debugging

Before reporting a bug, please make sure of the following:

  • The mod is enabled
  • You have read the conditions under which the mod will work
  • You have checked that no other mods may be interfering
  • You have checked in the file %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Deep Water Studio\UBOAT\output_log.txt that there is a line that reads 'UBOATSOP_LeavePortButton Version 2025.1.14.74'

@CottonCuddle Sorry I have no plans to make something like that, but I made my code available if anyone wants to do that (link in description)

I dont know if i can request mods here but i would love a option when a mission is complete and you get that 'return to port' fast travel option for it to fast travel me to the entrance to the port so i can still enjoy sailing in to port and docking. So a kind of an end mission fast travel to home but not right up to the dock you moor at, more to about a mile out from the actual port entrance. if this makes sense ;)

UPDATE: When approaching the canal in Kiel, the Leave Port Button will be suppressed when the Traverse Kiel Canal button is active. Hopefully improved the conditions for the Leave Port Button to appear despite the UI's quirkiness.

So, you think one of the mods in a really great series would also be great, but it causes a lot of problems if you are in Kiel. DON'T USE IT IF YOU ARE IN KIEL. You have to go back and forth, in order to get the traverse canal button to not be under the leave port button. SAVE GAME WHEN YOU GET TO CANAL and then tediously play with it.

I am not sure, the only way to find out if the mods get loaded properly is to check the output log. Check the Debugging section in the description of each of my mods, and if the line is missing from the log then it is not being loaded.

They are all loading and working for me for the latest patch, so I don't know why they wouldn't load for you. I am only using my mods.

So I tried this again and it worked, but then I loaded up some other mods, mainly larger crew, and that broke it. So I started a new game with just the SOP mods to see if it was the mods that caused the issue and now I can't get it to work again. Could something I'm doing be breaking your scripts? I really want to play the game with these but I just can't keep it working consistently, preferably with my other mods active.

As mentioned in the description, it won't show on loading a save, you just need to throttle up to undock and the button should appear.
