USS Nymph PF-163
Dacota Class Patrol Boat

History
The Dacota class Patrol boats are a mass produced small coastal patrol boat of the US
About 450 ships were ordered, 395 were completed. The USS Nymph was among the third batch out of eight batches produced in mid 1942. She was the 141st ship to be completed in the Michigan Navalyard.
She first saw combat around the Alaskan coast in early 1943. Her main task was to act as a gunboat and to hunt down submarines. In the former it succeeded quite well, in the latter it failed, detecting 3 submarines in 1944 alone, but failing to do even damage any of them. Its powerful armament did help it to support coastal bombardments, though it did have to get very close to action which left it open to return fire from concealed positions, and event tanks and infantry.
On multiple occasions it got close enough to get its 50.caliber guns to bear in coastal support missions. In July of 1945 it ran on a mine around the Aleutian islands and while somehow managing to stay afloat it took multiple casualties and a lot of injuries.

Startup Procedure / Checklist

  1. First thing to do once the vehicle is spawned in is to activate the stabilizers, they are in the bridge, behind the radar and before the radio station, it’s a single a switch to flip, the rest is done automatically to right the boat
    How to start engine:
  2. Go to engine room and enable Engine 1 ECU Switch
  3. Enable Coolant Valves & Radiators and Water Coolant Switch
  4. Set Telegraph to between 0.5 and 1 (or set it to automatic and access the throttle from the bridge)
  5. Enable Engine 1 Starter Arm
  6. then Drain Water from Starter system Engine 1
  7. then start compressing air into the cylinders (Must be greater than 139 bar, while also less than 150bar/ if it exceeds the safe area it can lead to the engine exploding)
  8. while the air pressure is in the safe area, press and hold the “E1 Starters”
  9. Then repeat for Engine 2

  10. To start moving go to the back of the engine and Enable the clutch

Further Notes
The engines blow up if they overheat
At max throttle and High Gearing the Fuel wont last too long, below 200km
There are no sights for the main guns, use the retical in first person.
There is a separate Engine for the Bilge:
Enable the Supercharger, Enable the Master switch, Fuel Pumps and Fuel Valves
Then Start Holding down the button to manual pump fuel. Once the fuel gets momentum the normal pumps will take over
Then hold open the starter clutch, and interact with the handcrank to start the engine
Do not forget to enable the cooling either

To start bilge pumping you need to connect the hoses to the affected areas and it will start to pump out water. You have limited ability to pump out a lot of rooms at the same time.

About the Project
The Pacific Front is a Alternate History Project about the time from 1940s through to the 70s in a time of turmoil, war and desperation. It focuses on the countries around the pacific ocean, like the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia, China and a lot more. All the the project vehicles are fictional in nature and have their own story, lore and design. The Projects creations have a tendency for high fidelity, decoration and multi crew operation.

Dio.  [author] 12 May @ 2:14pm
you can get up to 21 knots in normal weather
with engines at 100% and high gearing for the transmission

Im not sure how the bilge pumps work. I have everything started, but don't know how to get it to work or how to get the hoses to work. What am I doing wrong
