Shock Ranger Armor

Description
The product of decades of research and development by some of the greatest weapons engineers and whiteboard visionaries, comes the Shock Ranger Corps armor set, now available in select military surplus vendors across Europa.

This mod has been in the works for a few weeks, but due to popular demand, I decided to polish it up in a decent state to be published to the workshop! It should be compatible with any mods (except those that change character models since the sprites aren't made for that) because there are no overrides.

Standard Hard Shell

The standard Hard Shell suit and its helmet is the base model for all of the class-specific armors. It sports great protection, but lacks much of the utility that comes with specialization.

Archon

The Archon suit is the Captain variety of the Shock Ranger armors, with a similarly high level of durability and a substantial boost to helm skill, alongside a weapon holster. +15 Helm

Gunner

The Gunner suit is the specialized armor set for Security Officers. The armor and its special hardcase comes with ammo storage and a large weapon holster at the expense of general storage, +15 Weapons

Field Engineer

The Field Engineer suit offers greater utility than most other models, with two slots for tools and a fuel rod pouch, which may prove useful for beacon station maintenance or general submarine use. +15 Electrical

Artificer

The Artificer suit is similar to the Field Engineer suit but provides significantly greater protection against ballast flora burns and sports a welding fuel pouch for on-the-go refueling. +15 Mechanical

Corpsman

The Corpsman suit is a specialized combat medic suit with increased medical storage and a hardcase with a syringe gun holster. It can also share oxygen by grabbing a teammate, which can be useful when recovering a buddy who ran out of oxygen.

Cadet

to-be-added

Kearsarge

A precursor to the Gunner BDU with a clunkier but more armored design, compromising mobility and storage for ballistic protection.

Apostle

to-be-added

Joker

to-be-added

Basilisk Exosuit

An extremely resistant powered exosuit which chugs fuel but provides excellent combat protection.

As always, please post any bug reports or general feedback in the comments. I hope you enjoy my mod! :D

So,I found another bug. If I leave my captain (he's still the only one on my solo run in armor from this mod) outside the sub and swap to another character, the AI suddenly thinks it needs to swap O2 units and will simply remove the O2 source from the helmet without actually replacing it, so they'll instantly start to suffocate. Tested with the vanilla O2 tank and the EK units, same result for all three. Not sure if this is specific to the Archon armor or if it affects others, but I'll see about testing that further as soon as I make another armor set.

Hey man, finally got to the stage of my current singleplayer run where I can start making some of these. They look cool and going off the Archon suit, they're not as overpowered state-wise as the EK suits. I think we can all appreciate the stuff from the EK mods, but the suits are a bit OP. Going to take it on a proper whirl soon.

That said, I'd double check to make sure the helmets are actually prioritizing sub oxygen first. I've currently got my captain in a full Archon suit, and it seems to be prioritizing whatever I put in the tank slot first. Tested with the vanilla O2 tank, reinforced oxygen tank and the rebreather from EK, and in all cases, it was drawing from the slot despite being in the sub/a city. Granted, the rebreather's battery drains slowly, but the O2 tanks went down at a decent clip it looked to me.

@-Z- it uses a really small amount of power so it should be too big of a deal if you just make sure to change it every hour or so
@Пулемётчики should work fine!
@deadcheese101 it's probably not compatible with certain mods which change how radiation works since it actually just spawns a nuclearaftereffectemitter which inflicts radiation sickness. also, don't stand right on top of it if you don't want it to a bunch of damage to you. it's a fraction of the damage of a grenade in a very small radius around it when it activates
@murlock_murgle i honestly have no clue what kind of witchcraft i'd have to do to make the NPCs change the oxygen, and last i checked the helmets were allowing passthrough oxygen

don't think this has been brought up yet but the bots don't replace the oxygen tanks in their helmet and as a question are the helmets meant to work like pucs prioritizing sub oxygen over suit oxygen when available?

The main question I have is why does the "throwable demon core" do enough damage to remove half health from a person, if your standing right on top of it, and doesn't appear to do any radiation damage, is this working as intented or is another one of my mods the issue?
Пулемётчики 10 May @ 11:15pm
Is this still relevant to use on the current 2025 version?

Hey, fantastic mod but can we have a version where we can use the headlamp without battery?

Basilisk suit has a texture error, where you can see thru the whole suit under the armpit, its really noticeable when aiming a weapon

@V1 wait, repair it? how'd it get damaged?

Is it possible to repair the Basilisk Exosuit? If so, How?
