Use Radioactive Serum to modify your Duplicants' and Critters' DNA to increase their stats.


Duplicants receive +10 to all stats, +3 Morale, and +1,000 kCal stomach capacity at the cost of +100g/s oxygen consumption and 1,000 kCal/cycle increased food consumption per Upgrade Level. Max Level is 9.

Duplicants are upgraded at the Duplicant Upgrader building which requires the Duplicant to have the GlowStick trait which is consumed on use.

GlowStick trait is granted by a Doctor with Advanced Medical Care at the Injection Chamber using Radioactive Serum.

Radioactive Serum is made at the Nuclear Apothecary by a Duplicant with Medicine Compounding using Radbolts, Glass, Salt Water, and Steel. ( 2/sec, 1kg, 1kg, 1kg) (200 second crafting time)


Critters receive a flat +100 Metabolism and +100% Scale Growth bonus per Upgrade Level. Resources dropped on death are also increased by +100% per level. Max Level is 9.

Critter upgrade level automatically propagates to the offspring of a modified critter.

Glum and Miserable effects have been changed from -80 flat to -80% multiplier.


There is a graphical bug when delivering Radioactive Serum to the Critter Upgrader where the sprite for the serum stays at the last place the Duplicant was holding it. This has no effect on functionality. Resolves on reload or usage of the building.

Using debug tools to delete a critter that is on the Input Tile for the Critter Upgrader causes a crash so don't do that.

Crash reports can be put in the ONI Discord Server "mod-crash-help" channel.
Player.log file and steps to reproduce are required. Save file would probably be useful.

Non crash related issues can be directed to the "modded-gameplay" channel.

Hello. When used with the mod "Shinebug Reactor", this mod prevents new shinebugs from being added to the reactor. No crashes, just that when the eggs in reactor storage hatches new shinebugs appear outside of the reactor.

Unfortunately I just got another CTD when a mosquito hatched. Here's the log: (P.S. I 'm on latest)

the mod has broken recently, my dupes got unupgraded and the buildings disappeared, when i uninstalled and reinstalled it would tll m to restart every time i booted the game

Really cool mod, for the most part it also works great with Bionics, but the increased kCal consumption obviously does not apply to Bionic dupes, so would be great to have increase power consumption for Bionics
