Jagged Alliance 3 is a great game, but the mercs in the game feel somewhat rushed stat-wise.

Why are Raven and Wolf not specialists in Night Ops when their bio clearly implies that they are? Why is MD good at training mercs when he's extremely awkward, inexperienced and insecure? Why is Livewire not ambidextrous when her bio says she is? Why is Ice not a teacher when his bio says he is? Why is Sidney not a knife-thrower when his bio says he is? Why is Barry so incredibly over-powered? Why are all of these professional mercenaries going into a war-zone so drastically under-equipped?

Good questions!

This mod aims to adjust the stats, perks and loadouts of in-game mercs to fit better with their personalities, nationalities and backstories in a lore-friendly way, with the only thing left untouched being merc prices, making many hundreds of changes in all to provide a better mercenary experience.

This mod now also includes extensive loadout changes to fit better with the mercs, like giving an mp40 and armor to Grunty, who's apparently 'prepared for any tactical situation' according to his bio yet starts with only a pistol and nothing else, or giving flashbangs and kevlar to Raider, who was a former SWAT team leader.

It also is filled with little details, like for example Red starting with pipe bombs (he's Irish after all), or the fact that Nails's equipment is poorly maintained thanks to his poor hygiene.

All in all, every single merc in the game now offers a new and hopefully improved experience from what they were before.

Except Tex. Tex is perfect just the way he is. And Ivan too.

Ivan is "perfect the way he is"?

Can kill 10 enemies in 1 turn.

I would call that incredibly overpowered times 10.

Looking at the pictures, I don't think Hitman (he is about thge same generation as Raven and Raider, I'd imagine born in early to mid 60's so that would make him about 40 years old) and Red need to be old geezers, as those traits pretty much make these mercs obsolete.

I like what you are doing here, as many of the changes you made make sense lore-wise and also on many occasions they respect earlier JA games. If you are open to feedback, I would like to state that Barry now feels more overpowered with 70 mechanical (becoming a complete toolbox very fast). Then there is MD, in my opinion there is no reason to lower his wisdom. Also, I think Ice's leadership is too high, somewhere about 44 would be more on target, as he should not be more skilled on that than Thor, for example. I don't remember anything else right now, as I disabled this mod for the time being as it feels slightly immersion breaking for me and directs merc selections too much. Still, good work, keep it up!

I have installed this and I can´t see any changes in my mid game. I must point out that I had Mercanaries Reloaded 2 installed (I disabled it before loading this mod). I guess a new game is required?

Hey Maxx, just remembered that I updated Barry's mechanical to be much lower to balance out how OP he is.
