Description
PLEASE DON'T SEND FRIEND REQUEST, IT WILL BE IGNORED

Janky version of SU-27 Flanker.

Do not work with OpenXR, try using SteamVR. (in Mod Loader settings)

VTOL API is Required.

Was not made to be multiplayer compatible but if you really want to try it out in multiplayer, check multiplayer section.

Thanks to Danku's slot inject code, you can play any multiplayer mission (not tested with other person) THAT DOES NOT START ON CARRIER. You still have to follow instructions in multiplayer section.

An attempt to create the SU-27 mod using BCAT.

Thanks to Bovine74's new campaign fix, Desert Storm is now playable!

Currently available campaign missions are FA26B Quick Missions, FA26B Desert Strom, F45 Quick Missions, 2 VS 2, 2 VS 2 Inf (reload after 5min), Free Flight, GroundOps, GroundOps Inf(reload after 5min), GroundOps Airborne, GroundOps Inf Airborne.

Thanks to Bovine74, NVG just works now!

If the RWR does not work, just turn it off/on again.

If you don't set load on start for custom planes and loads them in game, do not set CWB to load on start, or the weapons will appear in the list but won't be equip-able. Make sure to load CWB after you load Planes.
(If you set both the plane and CWB to load on start, there's no ploblem)

Some weapons appear that is not included in Jank Missiles and there is a weird bug when you equip them. Some(at least AIM-174) will work some will not. If it's vanilla weapon it will work. All Jank Missiles weapons wll have -Jank Missiles tag in the weapon description.

To create a Custom Campaign you must get into main menu first (where mod button shows up), then open mission editor. (or maybe not)

#3D Model is not mine, cockpit does not have texture because I don't really know how to do 3d modeling nor texturing.

Start engine one by one.

I don't know how missiles work. R27, R77 is just AIM-120 with different skin on it, R37 is AIM-9+.

It's accelerates, decelerates very quickly.

Can it do the Cobra? I'm not sure.

Used AGM-89's booster effect for afterburner. (Wanted it to be Blue-Orange but now it's Blue-Purple-Orange)

Wing parts, Elevators can be destroyed but vertical stabilizers, rudders are invincible.

When the vehicle is destroyed, all its parts get destroyed too.

Battery, APU switch is on your left, Engine switches are on your Right.

FLIC, G Limiter and brakes, arresting hook switches are under throttle.

Flap lever is on the throttle base.

It does not have the wing fold but you need to flip the lever when I blinks.

Canopy lever is a gray stick on your right.

Radar and rwr switch are on the top left dash.

Load on start seems to work...?

MULTIPLAYER

"Multiplayer does technically function, though you have to spawn in a different aircraft first and switch to it after or you'll get softlocked. Toggling nav/strobe lights instantly crashes all other players, and GPS groups are not sendable or receivable (nor laser codes or anything but I think that's just a BCAT limitation). Also, exiting the aircraft via the quick menu "Exit Mission" option boots you back to the briefing room as expected, but it also kicks all clients too. This is all I found in my few test missions with this(HB-106) and the B-11. Though we did actually complete a mission with no real issues."

How to use Jank SU27 and (possibly other JANK aircraft’s) in multiplayer:
This is (at least) what worked for me.
1) Make sure Jank SU-27 and its requirements are installed
2) Have a mission with SU-27 spawns set and spawns for AV-42 or AV-42 and FA/26B
3) Spawn in the AV-42 first then eject
4) Have any other players who plan on going into a SU27 do so as well
5) You (with luck) should be able to easily enter the SU27

I did make a mission for this although it also includes F-16C spawns which I’m unsure will affect the game if you do not have the F-16C mod. Also note (if you intend on using the mission) that there are randomly placed AV-42 and FA/26B spawns meant to be used to eject in order to get proper SU27 placement

Workarounds:
-----Non host players have a black screen when trying to enter the SU27 or AV-42/FA26B, how can I fix this?"
I recommend installing a different aircraft mod and its spawn and adding it alongside the SU27 mod and spawns and getting in that aircraft first and see if the black screen still appears.
-----After attempting to join a lobby, the menu screen just turns grey, and won’t load me into the game, how can I fix that?
I recommend making sure you and your friends have the exact same mod list, as well as having as many mods as possible set to load on launch in the VTOL VR mod loader.
-----I try clicking the join button for a lobby but it doesn’t do anything, how can I fix this?
I recommend your friend or the host try’s to make the opposite type (public if private and vice versa) and both of you restart the game and reattempt that if it doesn’t work originally.

please make an a10 thqat would be so fun and also can you make it easier to start the jank aircrafts cos i have to start one engine at atime and then wait like 10 mins to start the other one

I think I can figure out the Number Decal issue because it's missing an alpha channel. I haven't worked with Unity, but I believe it all works the same across the board lol. (CG Wise) The texture I can provide as I've already put the correct channels and used the correct compression method.

My apologies, I meant the Landing gear Hatch/Panel, I tried to texture it but it still retained the Soviet Duck Egg blue, so I definitely would need the correct material to change it.

landing gear is also mirrored that’s little hard to do so can I keep that to current state? For the number decal it looked weird in unity lighting so I just removed it (don’t actually know how to implement decals in unity yet), The cockpit was modified so that’s why I didn’t bother to list it in the material list. As for the UVs, I dont want any changes from original model but thanks for asking! fixing right wing now

Awesome! Thanks for actually gettting back to me. Currently what I can't find are
-Right landing gear (Which is connected to the left wing texture)
-the Number decal
-the Cockpit.

I have the original Sketchfab model loaded up for livery making purposes. Just let me know if you need assistance with the UVs
