Operation Shakal [SP]

A political dispute over natural resources in the border area between Norway and Russia has escalated into a political crisis, with both sides accusing the other of illegally crossing the border. NATO promptly reacted with a joint American-Livonian-Norwegian exercise called "Northern Safeguard," while the Russian army made use of its psychology and cyberwarfare experience.

As NATO-troops trained, Russia flooded all radio channels with conversations about secret operations deep inside the Norwegian heartlands, but besides a few cut border fences and drones flying along the border, there was no sign that those radio calls were real. Locals even joked about those signals, pranking local police and NATO soldiers with faked messages.

But as political talks turned even more hostile and the situation grew even more dire, Moscow revived an old Soviet-era attack plan - and today, Spetsnaz team "Zvezda" is tasked with starting "Operation Arctic Fox."

The Norwegian Army mod by flex as well as the (new) Fjord map made me break my one rule: no missions as either Russia or WW2 Germany. Don't expect any more (2000s-2020s) Russia missions. There's gonna be something from the Norwegian POV in the future.
