afaik voice "acting" (ai slop) in coop missions is doable but a can of worms I really dont want to open. I barely got time to work on new stuff as is and Id rather do something new than touch missions that are almost a year old

You have to understand that to make this into a coop in a propper enjoyable way one needs to spend lots of time probably remaking it from scratch. Unless somebody else wants to do it, it is up to you to make it happen

kuolleempi, do you REALLY want to play this mission with your gf? Then take tools in your hands and make it into coop. You don't need THAT much effort to make it work. Just unpack the mission with PBO view, open it in the editor and click on two soldiers to make them playable (open up their roles for MP). The thing is, you probably don't even need to do it because in this mission you can swtich between soldiers. Then save it as MP mission and launch it as MP mission. You can also press a couple more buttons in the editor and add respawn if you need it. Ofcourse, it wont be pretty if you do it in a simple and crude way as I describe here. Cutscenes probably will work only for the player who starts the mission. Also, there is a high chance of encountering bugs. Lots of things might break. You will need to test it beforehand... But you will able to blay together with your gf.

My friend and I enjoy your missions a lot. This one is a gem because winter missions are so rare. I am desperate to get more of them, especially with the usual quality from you.

Thank you! The campaign us currently on hold as I'm waiting for the next map update (or til I'm sick of waiting) because I don't want to place a FOB or something like that to have it in the middle of a village after the update

Thanks for the cool 25 minutes in Arma, also DeepL did a great job with the translation.
As a Russian speaker I only noticed two mistakes, also if you plan to continue doing voiceovers I can help with checking it, good luck

@zahl Use ChatGPT for translation instead, it works a lot better than stuff like Google or DeepL since it actually provides context-accurate translations rather than word for word and you can give it extra info as well to make it more accurate

simple English -> Russian translation via deepl and then just putting that into 11labs. Even using an American English "speaker" so some stuff might be sounding a bit weird (besides being wrong/ weirdly worded as well)

A great campaign, though the only minus is the Russian voice acting, the translation is not accurate, but this is just a nuance, otherwise the campaign is gorgeous

These things are some minor details that I noticed while playing. In general, I really liked your mission. I seldom play missions and yours definitely stands out as a good one! Keep them coming!

5) It felt to me that the mission ended somewhat abruptly. I thought that I would need to get to the last marker to finish it. But it ended when I got to the forest nearby. It is not a bad thing that I was not forced to travel through the half of the map for the extraction point but at the same time by the moment I reached the forest I still felt like I was in danger of pursuit (remember that soldier that I failed to shoot). Maybe it would be better If I would need to go a little bit further from combat area to end the mission?
6) A very tiny detail. It looked to me like the boat on which the team supposedly arrived looked like it got stuck in the stones. It was really dark but it looked a bit weird to me.

4) I think some of the Norwegian soldiers were a little bit passive. I mean, it is good and logical that they were somewhat blind (night, blizzard) because I am not a good player and one of the reasons I was so careful in the beginning was that I thought that they would destroy me so bad in a firefight. I am so very happy that you did not make them super deadly! But I would prefer that more of them would actually start moving after player team gets spotted and especially after they see their precious radar explode! To be fair, majority of soldiers were actually moving around. Only a few were standing still.

3) I think that after I got spotted and killed near the radar site some AI soldiers were still standing near their initial positions without proper reaction to the firefight (I approached the site from the south and a few guys were standing in front of building). When my team leader died and I switched to the medic they were still standing facing the same direction even though the radar was ablaze! Now, I had a few additional mods installed but none of them should affect AI decision making in any significant way.

While the mission was good, I think there are few things here and there which you could improve.
1) The wording of the task to switch off the comms. How about making it clearer that you want player to switch them off through the terminal inside. First I thought that I would need to blow the communication building up. English is not my mother language so I might be mistaken here. But I think you can word it a little bit clearer.
2) The wording of a task to kill the officer. I think it would be good to actually tell player that you need to check on his body to confirm his identity after assassination. I think you did not mention this detail in the briefing. If you said it in the briefing and I missed it then I am sorry.

A few more thoughts from fellow mission maker POV. I really liked the briefing you wrote. How you described the situation and made it believable. How you introduced player to the lore of the mission. It was cool that you actually showed on the map which area is area of operation. That you made all the hyperlinks, tasks and all of that. The location choice was good as well. I definitely enjoyed the scenery. The snowfall looked pretty damn cool as well. The music was very much fitting. It was never too intense or loud and it never got in a way of the mission itself. The AI voice acting was really good. As I said before I am from Russia so I can tell you how it actually sounds to Russian ear. I will say you this: you did a really good job with the voices. While there were a couple of places where AI translated some words in their direct meaning (which was not correct), it was still pretty damn good. And if you do not know Russian it is not even relevant to your ears anyway!

Unfortunately, there I got shot from afar and died. I had a chance to kill the guy but I am mediocre player and missed my shot fair and square. Now, playing as medic, I actually tried storm the place to avenge my fallen comrade. It went MUCH better than I expected. Soon I managed to kill all the opposition around and recover the satchel bag from the body. After that I planted the last charge on the rocket battery. Then all of a sudden I noticed another Norwegian soldier looking in my direction. I fired on him and missed but the impact probably scared him so he hit the dirt. Then he fired in my direction and also missed. I got scared and hid behind some rocks. Then I fled to the forest nearby and detonated the last charge. After that the mission swiftly ended. The task was done but the cost was heavy... Also I got a little confused because I thought that I would have to reach some other point marked on the map to end the mission.

After losing half of the squad in a minute I and medic went towards the last objective. After getting close I told him to stay away and started sneaking to the radar alone. I managed to get close to the radar but right after I planted the charge I got spotted and shot to the death on sight. I loaded the game and sneaked to the site again. I planted the charge and once again got suddenly spotted straight after planting the charge. I wonder if beeping sound of the charge could be heard by AI... Or that I am insane enough to do the same things over and over expecting different results. Anyways, this time I was prepared and shot a few soldiers around me. Then I ran away to the left and detonated the charge, being afraid that If I get shot I will not be able to detonate the charge while playing as medic. I tried to get to the rocket site by flanking to the left near the water.

Sneaking around patrols to get to the commander shack went without a hitch. Then I got confused why objective did not finish after officer died. It is good that I figured out that I need to confirm his identity. I spent some time looking for documents without success. But real disaster struck when I got close to comms building. When I sneaked right to the building it suddenly dawned on me that in the briefing I was told to switch off the comms and nothing about actually blowing the building up. I already planted the satchel but decided to get in and see if I maybe need to actually switch them off from inside. Unfortunately, my soldiers who were nearby got spotted at this very moment by the patrol and brief firefight happened. I told my men to hold fire before, so we could get close without rising alarm... This mistake cost me 2 men. Only I and medic survived. I wander if simply blowing up the building would have done the trick...

I did a lot of stupid things and lost 3 of my comrades because of that. Plus, I loaded from saved game once. Still I somehow managed to succeed despite all these mistakes I made. To be fair, I wanted to be sneaky first and spent way too much time prone being afraid of opposing force, so in the end I was scared of running out of time since it began to dawn a little when I got to my last objective. I wonder if mission actually has a time limit?

I think I completed the mission in somewhat wrong order. First I found and killed the commander, then I disabled the comms (and found defense plans) and then at last I planted explosives on the radar and missiles. I thought that I was supposed to go to the last marked location on the south-west but mission ended abruptly when I reached some wooded area on the edge of last objective while running away from destroyed radar.

Greetings from Russia! You created a good mission, zahl! It was not very difficult but it is perfect for the player like me who spends most of the time in the editor and not good in the game itself. I played with a few additional mods and I believe that everything worked all right. Together with required mods I used: SSD Death Screams 2.1, Death and Hit Reactions, WBK Simple Blood, Project SFX: Footsteps, Project SFX: Remastered, Blastcore Murr Edition, Dismemberment + Gore [SP-MP], Align, Immerse, Suppress, Animated Recoil Coefficient changer, Uniform Injury Effect (UIE) V2.
