PACIFIC STRIKE is a 10-part mission set for Sea Power depicting a fictional Chinese and Soviet attack into the western Pacific at the height of the Cold War in 1985. Command the USS Scott (DDG-995) and surface Task Group 77.3 in various operations during the opening offensive.

Missions:

Part 1

Mission 1: Raid on Okinawa

A Soviet commando raid on Okinawa is underway. Using a commandeered merchant ore carrier for cover, the commando force is within sight of the islands. A separate strike force of warships sortied from Ningbo yesterday afternoon. Proceed west from Kerama Retto and destroy the incoming enemy forces before they reach the island.

Mission 2: Action in the Taiwan Strait

The Chinese have seized the initiative and launched an invasion of Taiwan. Sortie from Miyako-jima with your surface task group and prevent the invasion force from reaching Taipei.

Mission 3: Running the Palawan Passage

Detached from Okinawa, TG 77.3 must head south to join the defense of Singapore. Run the Palawan Passage to reach Sandakan for resupply. Heavy submarine opposition is expected.

Mission 4: Sunda Strait

Singapore has fallen. Your depleted Task Group is attempting to escape the Java Sea after being nearly destroyed during the enemy offensive into Indonesia. Run the Sunda Strait and escape to open ocean to live to fight another day.

Mission 5: Strike on the Monster

With Allied forces pushed back to Australia, enemy forces are moving south to threaten Darwin. The Kirov surface group was sighted by satellite reconnaissance in the Timor Sea. Make use of every Allied naval asset in theater to sink the Kirov and her escorts.

Part 2

Mission 6: Raid on Balikpapan

With enemy forces in Indonesia on the back foot after the sinking of Kirov, TG 77.3 has been tasked to raid the captured oil facilities at Balikpapan in the Makassar Strait. Proceed north to capture the offshore platforms in the Sepinggan field and then bombard the refining complex and storage facilities ashore. Enemy air and surface opposition is expected.

Mission 7: Vengeance at Sandakan

The Allied counterattack is underway. Conduct an anti-surface sweep north of Borneo and land a Marine Amphibious Unit at Sandakan to establish a foothold in the Allied drive towards the Philippines.

Mission 8: Hunt for the Cruiser

After the capture of Sandakan, the Slava SAG has been reported somewhere in the Sulu Sea. Intel assumes the SAG has orders to attack and destroy the Allied beachhead. Take command of the US submarines in the vicinity to locate and destroy the SAG.

Mission 9: Defense of North Borneo

The destruction of the Slava and her surface group have bought the Allies some time to consolidate their gains in Borneo. However, a second enemy strike is underway. Take charge of the meager Allied forces at Sandakan to repel an air and surface strike. Make use of captured enemy equipment if necessary.

Mission 10: Strike on Manila

Spies have reported the Soviet carrier Kiev is immobilized in Manila Bay with an engine casualty. Raid the harbor and sink her at her moorings. CINCPAC believe this operation could end the war if carried out successfully. Good luck.

+1 for the Krivak II task force disappearing in Mission 2, they shot something at my sub and disappeared. My torpedo still hit one of them but they are unable to be located after this.

@Marquavius -- use Standard missiles in line of sight mode to kill them (don't use Harpoons -- this is a core game concept)

On mission six please move the task force back further, being in range of enemy missiles while they are right next to oil rigs which mask them for asm is annoying, moving the task force back would help alot!

Awesome mission pack! Just finished playing it and thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend this mission pack. I'm glad to hear that you're working with the developers.

@OD1199 -- not sure on this, the mission pack is quite old at this point and I need to get the update out the door now that Linear Campaign is available. However I have joined the Triassic team so am now working on creating scenarios/campaign for the base game. Future of this campaign remains uncertain for now

@Calcium -- not sure on this either, mods may be interfering with SAR. On vanilla it works fine. These are just missions and nothing about Pacific Strike modifies the base game behavior.

@ChadSimpKing -- this may be the same issue as OD1199, I'll see if maybe a classname changed. Cheers

Any reason I cant conduct SAR for helis? Usually it worked on vanilla but with mod seems to be unavaliable?

Hi, thanks for making the scenarios. Having a rather bizarre issue when in one of the merchant ships in the second scenario, Julius Fuchik, disappears after I damaged it and vanished from the game/map, meaning I cannot finish the scenario. Not sure if this is a scenario bug or a game bug. Cheers.
