F/A-18C "Hornet"

Description
Brief overview from Wikipedia [en.wikipedia.org]
The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather supersonic, twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole combat aircraft, designed as both a fighter and attack aircraft (hence the F/A designation). Designed by McDonnell Douglas and Northrop, the F/A-18 was derived from the latter's YF-17 in the 1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations, and formerly by the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels. The F/A-18 was designed to be a highly versatile aircraft due to its avionics, cockpit displays, and excellent aerodynamic characteristics, with the ability to carry a wide variety of weapons. The aircraft can perform fighter escort, fleet air defence, suppression of enemy air defences, air interdiction, close air support, and aerial reconnaissance. Its versatility and reliability have proven it to be a valuable carrier asset. The Hornet first saw combat action during the 1986 United States bombing of Libya and subsequently participated in the 1991 Gulf War and 2003 Iraq War. The F/A-18 Hornet served as the baseline for the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, its larger, evolutionary redesign, which supplanted both the older Hornet and the F-14 Tomcat in the U.S. Navy.
Checklists
Start up
  1. Get in the aircraft
  2. Main battery power (left rear side)
  3. Enable the engine fuel pump
  4. Push throttle to 2
  5. Hold ignition switch until RPM hits 30
  6. After this RPM should jump to 120 ish
if not ensure checklist is done correctly, if it doesn't still, contact the creator on discord
  7. Release parking brake
Takeoff
  1. Fold down wings (next to power switch, might have some difficulty pressing it)
  2. Push throttle to 8
  3. Press flaps key twice (can check on the right front side next to CCIP switches)
  4. Taxi out to runway
  5. Push throttle to 20
  6. Once around 100ft retract the gear (lower middle dash)
  7. Confirm gear is UP (red lights above the gear switch) before accelerating
Failure to check this will glitch the landing gears
Cruising
  1. Level out when at desired altitude
  2. Set throttle to 41 (best range/flight time)
  3. Turn on navigation lights (and cockpit lights if its dark)
Landing
  1. Be around 1km from the runway (plenty of time to line up and get on glide path)
  2. Set throttle around 18 (should be around 75kts)
  3. Set flaps to 2-3 depending on load (2 if you haven't modified loadout)
  4. Aim for around 10 degrees on the HUD (check glide path indicator for carrier landings)
  5. Adjust AoA to prevent undershooting the runway
  6. Once about to touch down cut the throttle
  7. Put throttle back to 7-8 and taxi back to hanger

Important notes
Do not use flaps at high speed, I recommend retracting them with the gear Loaded speed is with current loadout, expect it to change depending on that Don't switch between flaps too quickly else they have a chance of getting stuck and glitching I know the tailhook falls off, for some odd reason the workshop is refusing to update the fix - FIXED Nov 06/11/2024 landing gear bugging out on retraction fixed mostly (sometimes still will but its the best i can get) Warranty is void if you don't read checklist fully
(ignore change notes lmao i was doing "some bugfixing")
do not reupload it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
