Description
This mod makes gates impassable for enemy armies even when under siege. Hostile AI armies will be stopped when trying to pass through the area. Neutral or friendly armies can still go through gates to avoid AI path-finding bugs. In rare cases, enemy armies might still pass through the gate when there are already enemy armies on both sides.

Player armies still can be attacked by enemy armies through gate pass when they are in friendly AI's gate regions, or else it may cause the game to get stuck during AI turn.

This mod was already integrated into my Better Gate Pass mod. As a script mod, it should be compatible with all mods and saved games.

Sorry for posting this in an unrelated thread,
AI-controlled hybrid units (e.g., axe throwers, javelin throwers, Dongzhoubing Defenders, Azure Dragons, Ye Vanguard Spearmen) appear to never use their ranged attacks in any situation. Even when standing still in a defensive position, they do not fire. Is there any way to fix this? It would be ideal if auto-fire could at least be enabled for them.

To determine if this issue affects all hybrid units, I tested generals equipped with bows. Despite being primarily melee-focused hybrids, general AI seems to work perfectly, smoothly transitioning between ranged and melee combat.

Additionally, in Three Kingdoms, AI-controlled ranged cavalry and skirmish units seem to never fire while skirmishing or retreating.

oh that's unfortunate, I was hoping the AI would just reroute around the gate pass (kinda like following the path a player would take if they right click somewhere on the map and something is blocking it). I don't know if AI pathing can even be modified via script behavior to imitate that though (also might be a ton of work). Oh well, good mod anyways, better than vanilla gate pass

@Helmet Too Tight It is possible, but the problem is that AIs can't handle it, like continuing to try to go through and getting stuck outside the gate pass.

Great job! Do you think it could be modified so that the gate pass is impassable unless the faction has a military access agreement with you? I think that makes the most sense since there's no reason to let a random neutral army pass if they aren't even allowed on your territory. I would try implementing it myself but I don't really know Lua (seems very different from other languages, got lost just reading your source code lol)
