Siberian Mayhem: Headshot Mechanics

Description
This modification alters the headshot mechanics of Siberian Mayhem. This is a global script so it will be enabled regardless of the chapter or level currently loaded.

Ported to Siberian Mayhem by request!

Changes to Headshot Mechanics
In a nutshell, projectile based weapons no longer trigger enemy weak points. Bullets based weapons however, with some exceptions, will still trigger enemy weak points as expected.

Projectiles
Projectiles will no longer deal increased damage to enemy weak points. Projectile based weapons include...
  • Rocket Launcher
  • Grenade Launcher
  • Devastator
  • Laser
  • Canon

Bullet Based Weapons
Bullet based weaponry will deal the usual x3 damage multiplier to enemy weak points which include...
  • Pistol
  • Assault Rifle
  • Minigun
  • Sniper
However, shotguns are exempt from this. So the following weapons no longer deal extra damage to weak points.
  • Single Shotgun
  • Double Shotgun
  • Autoshotgun

Reasoning Behind the Changes
Does it annoy you that you can no longer (consistently) two shot rocket a werebull like how you've been doing since 2001? If yes, then this mod is for you!

Basically, the introduction of the headshot mechanics to SS4 has not only severely messed with our muscle memory but also introduced serious imbalances in gameplay...
  • Rocket Launcher headshots is wildly inconsistent.
  • Why c4 (or anything else for that matter) a khnum when i can just multi-rocket his cranium?
  • Let me just calmly walk up to this scrapjack and double shotgun his face. EZ.
  • Dual Lasers. Need I say more?
The above are just a few examples of the annoyances with headshots. So, this mod fixes most of these issues. Bullet based weapons still reward your accuracy. Can no longer delete mid tier threats with a double shotgun to the brain and large threat enemies are no longer push overs due to dual wield laser or auto shotgun.

But forget what I say, you be the judge. Give it a go and let me know what you think. I'm open to making additional changes or making entire new variations of this mod also.

To Note
This mod adds a single script to the CustomGlobalScripts folder so any mod that interacts with this folder may cause issues.

Due to the way in which some enemies are set up, the following enemies remain unaffected by this mod...
  • Processed
  • Octanian Troopers
  • Vampires

Giving credit where credit is due. I found a script for implementing headshot mechanics similar to this when I was being nosy looking through files from ASSPBR. So thanks to SeriousSacor for the original script, without it I wouldn't have been able to implement this idea.

I have an idea, how would you feel if head shot's only did 1.5x damage but if you manage to get a headshot there could be a chance of drops instead, ie killing a soldier via head-shots would have a 10% chance to drop 10 rifle ammo / 1-2 health pills / or a couple armour shards

However killing a boss tier enemy lets say khnum could reward you with a higher pool of drops,with a 20-33% chance of dropping one of the following? 10-25 health bonus / 10-25 armour? 1-2 rocket ammo, 10 laser ammo, or what ever you used to get the head shot kill

although doing this would give the game a more arcade like vibe to it but then again we already have a basic perk that pretty much does the same thing but for any kind of kill
