Description
All Hallow's Eve - Treat Bags!

Find Thirteen Unique Halloween Treat Bags while Slaying the Undead Trick-Or-Treaters.

Each bag is filled with a variety of candy, treats, and other goodies!

After devouring as much chocolate and sweets as humanly possible, you can then decorate your homes with these festive bags!

Collect them All!

If you find way more candy than you can handle, pack it all away in the cupboard for months before you forget about it and throw it away like a normal human being!

Bag Details:

The Treat Bags are useful as well as festive, each holding 25 Capacity / 50 Weight Reduction.

Loot in style!

Find the Childhood Classic "Halloween Pillowcase Sack", which holds 35 Capacity / 65 Weight Reduction!

It may not have looked very cool, but being poor had it's benefits in Halloween Candy Retention!

If you find yourself out of candy, and out of bandages, you can Rip the Pillowcase Sacks into Sheets in a pinch, or Craft a Sheet Rope from them to escape the relentless candy hunters!

Thanks, and good luck! :)

@Mickmane - Thanks for the feedback. I may look into an alternate spawning method in the future to guarantee spawn rates. Default loot distribution system is just complex and buggy, but it works most of the time. Sometimes issues come up though. Thanks for the info though!

Thanks for the reply. :)

The problem is that all that was changed was the settings for this mod, and it just didn't recognize any change until some random point.

1. Upped from default - no bags.
2. Upped a bit more - no bags.
3. Upped a great bit more - Too many bags.
4. Reduced multipliers - Too many bags.
5. Set back to default (note, this is less than #1) - Too many bags.

So somewhere it didn't even accept the changes, only looked like it in the settings menu. Solution was to remove the mod. :/

I got the same in the game I host just for myself. I will keep the mod there, because I really like it.

I don't think my friend's going to re-add it to the game he hosts for us, he already doesn't like mods.

@Mickmane - Loot distribution is a complex system, and has multiple multipliers and roll variables throughout the vanilla loot system, as well as other mods that add items and pad the tables with more items, as well as mods that adjust loot ratios, etc.

I will likely increase the range of adjustment for drop rates, to allow more fine tuning for various server setups.

Being they are considered a 'bag' and container, you can try adjusting loot levels for bags temporarily up/down to help the overall rolls to be more in line with what you'd like in your game.

Unfortunately, there is no one-size fits all fix for loot levels. You'll just have to fine tune and adjust as you go. Even our test server, which has nearly identical mod sets and settings as our live server had rather drastic differences in loot distribution and required further fine tuning to get drop rates where we wanted them, in the 10-20% range specifically.

Got a new problem; can't change the drop rate to less now. As if it would just ignore any newly set settings. Even at default settings, some zombies have usually around 2 bags.

Any idea what to do about that?
Mickmane 3 Nov, 2024 @ 1:18am
And what if I set rolls to 1 (per zombie I guess), and adjust the multiplier. would 999 be 100% drop chance, and 1 about 0.1% chance?

Sorry for the late reply, didn't get a notification and just came here to check if you had a discussion on the subject.

Thanks for the answer! :)

We upped the settings to far too many, oops, last night we got plenty bags. And yes, it is enabled.

Which spawn rates do you have on your server, or which would make it 1 bag per 100 zombies? We need to tune the drop down now, but not totally disable it. :)
WitheringHex  [author] 1 Nov, 2024 @ 1:47pm
Yes, its the amount of times the game rolls per item to see if it spawns in. If you have loot settings set very low, or use more loot settings to adjust overall rolls, you may need to greatly increase all numbers to get them to spawn in. Are you sure the mod is enabled? Do you see the bags in the Admin Item List? Do you see the Sandbox options sheet show up for the mod?
Mickmane 1 Nov, 2024 @ 12:29pm
Thanks. :) We upped the settings to 200, 5, 300, rest 10 each, but still no zombie yet had anything. What's going wrong?

What exactly does the roll do, like it throws the dice 200 times to see if a zombie has something?
