Agamemnon Babylon 5 v1.0

Description
The Earth Force Omega Class Destroyer Agamemnon from Babylon 5.
The outside has been replicated from the TV series but the inside layout is a totally original design.

Key Sections:
Bridge, Briefing Room, Crew Quarters, Observation Room, Manufacturing, Mining Bay, Cargo Bay, Hanger Bay (sorry no Starfuries yet), and more.

Features:
-Fully functional including the center rotation along with good ship steering capabilities, suggest using NUM pad instead of mouse.

-Gravitational rotation, meaning that in the center section you are able to walk the inside wall 360 degrees while it rotates (not recommended at full speed)

-Map includes a varied asteroid setup for good fun.

Rotation Guide:
-Regular Speed: Simply set 1 of the 2 rotors to max Velocity, any direction.
-Fast Speed: For faster speed simply set the second rotor to the inverse speed of the first.
-Lock Rotation: To lock the rotation set velocity and both the upper/lower limits to zero.

A HUGE thanks to the modding community and especially to Knsgf who created the exact type of Large Ring Rotor that I was waiting for.

Note: Lighting maybe flaky, this is probably just my own PC’s limitations.

RogueCmdr, yes feel free to use it. Sorry i'm so late with the reply, i'm not actively following posts or maintaining this mod.

Could I have permission to use this in my mod pack. I am working on a Shadows NPC Mod in Rival AI. I am then going to work on a larger pack. I would love to be able to use this and maybe mod it a little with your permission. Would this be ok?

My 1:1 Narn Heavy Cruiser is almost done. You and I should blow each other up some time. Will publish it when I am satisfied. So far the only problem I've had is that the bridge wings leading to the port and starbird nacelles are more angless and less curved because of....well space engineers. But so far there have been no major obstacles and every time I save and exit I am smiling.

VERSION 1.1 NOW AVAILABLE

As mentioned previously I have had to create a new world for further updates. This has now been done and version 1.1 can be found under the workshop world name "Agamemnon Babylon 5 v1.1". Future updates will be done properly from now on, sorry for the hassle but I would consider this workshop instance to be out-of-date from this day on.

Changes in v1.1:
-Starfuries added both inside and out with the B5 cockpit view for 1st person.
-Mining craft added.
-Fixes to the front of the Agamemnon as well as it's name added.
-Many minor additions and aesthetic changes applied to the Agamemnon.

Tree Hilter, I know what you mean about redoing sections completely. In my early attempts I was using two standard rotors to separate the three sections, but while everything looked ok at first, even though the center was the only thing that appeared to spin, if you applied ship-roll for long enough the forward and rear would have different angles, in effect not working as it should.

When the time came to change to Knsgf's ring rotor I had to keep the three sections connected for fear of losing them and used pistons to push merge blocks together.

Through it all the dam thing blew up over 15 times.

As for Babylon 5, I wish you luck, I doubt my pc could do it on the scale that i'd like. As for the B5 hanger, getting in the entrance while it rotates maybe doable if there's enough extra space, but it all depends, would be fun though.

functional*

@starburner, there is a really good Hyperion but it's non function. I hate replicas that aren't function.

Also, I've done some preliminary work on a babylon 5, laying out the frame, and testing scale, and it seems quite daunting. I'm fairly certain with the current state of the game, and current mods that making the rotation function as it does on tv is undoable, but I'd like to be surprised. The rotation is probably frustratingly doable, but the fact that the hangar entrance rotates as well makes it non-functional. (having to match rotation with the station to enter would be lol)

It would however be one of the most impressive space engineers structures that has ever been made though if you could make it work, and on a large enough scale.

My computer can handle large ships, but I think Babylon 5 at anything near an order of magnitude of scale would actually destroy my card.

Lol. Going to check this out. I made a pretty decent replica as well, about 3 months ago. I had the mid section spinning with gravity drives, with the air lock/corridor mod going through a tunnel in the spinning section, but the mid section on rotors kept causing the ship to blow in weird and frustrating ways due to my use of merger blocks + rotors in final phases (without merger blocks you can't redo a section, you have to redo everything from the rotors back)

Looks fucking great mate.
