Description
tr1p tells the story of a guy who had a car accident while driving home from work after a 48h shift. He wakes up at night laying next to his crashed car in a place he doesn't seem to remember as a part of the route he usually takes to go home. Actually... he is now very, VERY far from home.

Will you survive and make it back to your home and family alive?

WARNING: This game is intentionally really difficult and could be unpleasant for some people to play (as I could notice from a few reviews on YouTube, lmao), so you better be a hardcore gamer if you wanna finish it ;) otherwise I think you wouldn't enjoy it, as this mod really is _almost_ unplayable.

Disclaimer: I created this mod more than 10 years ago, when I was still a teenager. A lot has happened since then, but my love and passion for video games has stayed the same. When I heard about the HL2 anniversary update, I felt the happy "butterflies" feeling like a kid; thanks Valve! Thank you Valve, for showing the world how it's done, for showing the world the true meaning of passion. Half-Life 2 is a masterpiece, and Valve just made it timeless and etched into eternity with this workshop integration and the documentary.

Cheers, and have a great time everybody! <3

And that's exactly what I did. I was in high school when I created this twelve years ago :)

Oh man, I watched Jolly play this and I feel like now I have to experience it myself. I did some mapping in various things when I was in high school, and this looks exactly like some nonsense I would have put together if I really buckled down to make a multi-map thing. Wish me luck, all.

Just finished it. On hard this is an almost troll map. Some aholish traps here and there. In the first big fight it seems we need to trip some triggers and GTFO otherwise combines and zombies that don't attack each other will just keep respawing :steamsad:. It took some tries to discover just were an exit opened up. I also had to cheese the wait for the cable car but it seems that little balcony was put there exactly for this. The mod varies between empty parts and trollish arenas but it's very well made.

Playing on hard. The first big fight would make some sense if the zombies and combines attacked each other. :steamsalty:

Intentionally difficult? I question that. It reads more like a poorly designed and, by your admission, an untested campaign.

I'm all about difficult maps, but they have to be engaging. The first map is nearly empty in terms of action. By the time the second map starts, the spike in enemies is jarring, thematically incoherent, and reads to me like you didn't know how to fill the map you created. Flooding open spaces with excess and saying it's intentionally difficult is like cutting the brake lines on a vehicle and saying there's a skill curve.

Combined with the failure to test the hard difficulty and your mocking of people assuming that you would have done the bare minimum, and I can't really recommend this map to anyone.
