If you value your time and nerves - avoid this.
I'm all about difficult maps, but they have to be engaging. The first map is nearly empty in terms of action. By the time the second map starts, the spike in enemies is jarring, thematically incoherent, and reads to me like you didn't know how to fill the map you created. Flooding open spaces with excess and saying it's intentionally difficult is like cutting the brake lines on a vehicle and saying there's a skill curve.
Combined with the failure to test the hard difficulty and your mocking of people assuming that you would have done the bare minimum, and I can't really recommend this map to anyone.
There are two "bugs" though:
1-collider stuck if the headcrab missile landed on you in the town
2-door stuck in the sewer
And he didn't notice until very late that he was playing on hard: a difficulty mode that I didn't even test the mod with. Lmao ;D
Thanks for playing!
Sounds like a good idea; If I ever have some substantial free time for this I will gladly consider it :)
There have even been some talks among my closest friends that I "should absolutely port the tr1p campaign over to the l4d2 workshop". Hah
I would love to see you consider revisiting this and making a rebalanced version. It wouldn't require a complete overhaul of every combat arena and it would be wonderful to finally get a less insanely difficult version.
Of course, could always keep this one around as the legacy version.
When we playtested this back in the days (before releasing it on ModDB in 2013) we played exclusively on normal difficulty.
Thank you so much, I'm happy you found it interesting :)
