- the resource magnet keeps capturing a resource automagically (already today in the game)
- with the mod it can send that captured resource automatically to an output, which you can connect to other cards (new).
With the road-output-connector you have more flexibility, less risks of issues later in the game.
E.g.: the resource magnet captures "cows" and you connect it to a butcher.
E.g.: the resource magnet captures "milk" and you connect it to a hotpot, etc.
Without the mod you have situations where a resource magnet can "overflow" with too many cards (taking up more and more space on the board), and you would need to use a crane to take the cards off from the magnet (which is very tedious). The crane then also needs to be positioned right next to it, causing more issues later on. :p
