One Minute to Midnight presents a series of 4 scenarios, asking a "what if" both sides had been more hawkish during the Cuban Missile Crisis and were unable to reach a diplomatic solution.

It offers a diverse range of gameplay, and is intended to be a challenging experience where you will have to overcome superior Soviet/Cuban forces with limited tools at your disposal.

Red line in the sand

Multiple Soviet flagged merchant vessels approach the quarantine line, and are assumed to be carrying IRBMs and other war material to Cuba. This represents a threat to the national security of the United States that cannot be tolerated. TU-22.1.1 is the only force operating in the area and must enforce the blockade alone by any means necessary until reinforcements from TF-23 can arrive.

Welcome to Havana

Cuba remains a fortified threat to U.S. security. President Kennedy has authorized a combined strike and amphibious operation to neutralize Cuban command and control (C2) assets and initiate a ground invasion to secure the Havana region.

NOTE: Use of TASM, TLAM, and A/RGM-84 Harpoons is ahistorical and the scenario is balanced around not using them.

The Cold War ignites

Following the U.S invasion of Cuba to neutralise MRBM sites - the Soviet Union has retaliated by invading Turkey through the Caucasus to remove our equivilant Jupiter missile sites. NATO resistance in Turkey has already crumbled from the suprise attack, and the entire Black Sea fleet has now passed the Dardanelles Strait and is entering the Mediterranean.

One minute to midnight

Following a successful NATO counteroffensive in Europe, the Soviet Union, reeling from defeats, launches a last-ditch attempt to strike the U.S. Eastern Seaboard with nuclear missiles from two Yankee-class SSBNs. A P-3C Orion patrol detected two possible sonar contacts north of Hawaii, but severe storms have grounded further flights. The USS Snook (SSN-592) is the only unit in the area able to respond before the submarines reach missile launch range.

I am getting a technical defeat on the first mission every time I sink the very first freighter. I'm confused. Am I not supposed to sink it?

I just finished the fourth mission and when the message screen came up, it was blank. I also just got through watching the fourth mission on YouTube and his message screen never came up telling him he had won. You might want to check this. A great series of four games.

Wanted to enjoy them but there seem very dumb, for example mission 4 the fact all the ships are on weapons tight, they allow migs to bomb them and still dont engage unless told...

@76561198052990131, I had a similar issue with low-flying aircraft in that mission. I got errors like the FCR being unable to lock on, and the planes flying too low to launch it (with no option of forcing them to go higher).

The solution seem to be either to line up for a tail shot with a Sidewinder, or bring in one of the gun-equipped Phantoms from the airbase. Or wait until the devs fix the game's dogfighting AI.

There appears to be a bug on the 2nd to last mission (I forget which number it is) where my CAP won't engage the incoming enemy fighters. I've tried everything from manually engaging to setting weapons free and they just go in circles around each other.

This is an awesome mission pack. The Cuban Missile crisis is something that has fascinated me with how close we were to a nuke battle.

please fix the victory triggers on mission four. Otherwise, I really like it. I hope you can figure out how to restrict weapons systems that didnt exist in 1962.

Adding on, on the screen that summarizes the engagement, it shows that there are incomplete objectives.

I'm running through the first mission and I am having an issue. I've killed everything aside from a Soviet liner that showed up as Neutral. I assume that I need to wait for TF23 to show up.... But It's been several in game hours since the last engagement. Is there something I am missing?
